I’m really happy KZfaq suggested this video to me. I cried the whole time you talked about your dad. My grandfather has been sick with cancer since July. I’ve always looked at like my dad and he’s a completely different person now. And I’m having trouble coping with his new demeanor and attitude. I’ve never even seen him have the flu before and I’m 31. This video actually gave me some peace and understanding of what he’s going through and why he might be different now. Also your views of JHP were spot on. I agree with everything you said. Definitely gained a new subscriber. I’m also gay and have always struggled with where I fit in my walk with God. I believe he sent me this video for a reason. Thank you for being so transparent. You helped me a lot.

I absolutely Believe that you could have been clueless to Lesbians or Gay being a thing. I did not know it existed at all until 12, when I shockingly was presented to it. I am a preachers daughter, raised sheltered. I can relate to some of your story.

This is a testimony so it’s specific to Jackie Hill Perry if it helps one (which it usually does) great testimonies are personal to the one who speaks it so no one is saying this is the standard for homosexuality

Yep that’s what I said in the video, but the fact that her testimony is force fed to just about every black lesbian that comes out and goes to a black church is telling. They definitely don’t make it about her specific experience they tell it to us as if we are her and her journey with God should be our journey with God in order to ever have a spiritual connection to God or be welcomed in heaven, the church and our own families.
