I love how Hades’ side of the room has a cooler color scheme than Homer’s, it’s a really cool design and I just adore all of the thought put into it.

The mythology nerd in me is screaming about Hades having fire powers, but the Disney fan in me is just waiting for Hades to burst into flame upon Persephone hooking up with some mortal jock. This is such a unique concept, and I can't wait to see more of it!

Ok first of all, Persephone would NEVER betray Hades by hooking up with a mortal. Their marriage is one of the most phenomenally healthy in greek mythology.

@@sararebecapalacios And Hades doesn't think humans are lowly, vulgar creatures or have fire powers in Greek mythology either. Thomas seems to be taking a lot from Disney's Hades from the Hercules movie, which I get. I could definitely see Thomas doing it for the story; having Hades get jealous of a mortal man would be some good character development, and it might endear him more to Homer.

I love how the protagonists name is Homer, one of the poets (or multiple poets) who then went on to tell the story of odysseus’s travels!! A very neat touch 🫶

Good gods this looks so good. I was 100% convinced this was Zeus's way of messing with Hades and then you pulled out the plot twist that even he's involved in this. I definitely wanna see more of this series.

The fact that his name is Homer is absolutely incredible - as a classics nerd, I love it! I look forward to seeing what other niche references are there. I swear, there better be a 'Dolon' lmao. You should definitely include two characters called 'Andy' and 'Patrick' (Achilles and Patroclus) who no one is ever sure if they're dating or close friends. Many bets are made amongst students about it.

Anyone else unable to find representation of Hades according to mythology? While this one is a bit more true, it seems he’s more sassy than anything.😆 Edit: I stand corrected, he’s a bit self-centered and childish. Also, I FAIL to see how Persephone wouldn’t be willingly ignoring Hades without seeing him out. They were the healthiest relationship in basically the entire mythos.

@@ryaneaston3487 I'm the PJO books he's pretty on character. He loves his wife and tolerates his mil. He also loves his kids. In the first book everyone thinks he's this dastardly villian but he ends up having been framed. Although the books have some... elements... that aren't great. The author decided the WWII was a war between the Demi god kids of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Hades kids being the Axis powers.... like he hardly had any kids in the mythos so that's not likely but his characterization is pretty good otherwise. Also I'm imagining for this he's sassy because he doesn't have his wife and he's bitter. But that remains to be seen.

@@GreatQueenFan while in a modern standard that is 1000% not okay, Litterally every god was doing that kind of crap. Zeus ate one of his wife's and he kidnapped Hera and cheated on her at every opportunity. Hades is quite literally one of the only gods who treats their spouse well. It's him and Dionysus. Also Persephone takes the job she married into in stride in the mythos she embodies her death goddess job.

@@ghost._.likes._.Drawing fun fact when Hermes went to grab Persephone she was screaming for Demeter. Also the myth is framed the way it is because its supposed to give comfort to women and daughters separated due to arranged marriages. In this context Hades and Zeus are BOTH in the wrong.

There IS an anime like this actually xD It's called "Kamigami no Asobi" and everyone here who sais this video reminds them of Percy Jackson should definitely go and check this anime out, because the premise of gods getting out of touch with humanity and getting sent back to college is EXACTLY what's going on in Kamigami xD (Also it has baller character designs)

Oh my goodness - this is amazing! Where to begin… Firstly, I love the concept of some poor guy being thrown into an existential crisis as his roommate’s a literal god- (thank goodness he’s confined to a mortal body right now) And the plot! It’s amazing and there’s so much potential. I can’t wait to see what direction you take this series in. The set up is done so well! And oh my goodness the effects and lighting. The dark and bright lighting to reflect the two almost opposing sides of Homer and Hades in the room - the whole team really outdid themselves and it definitely shows! It looks absolutely stunning. Anyway, I can’t wait for the rest of this series - if you do continue it - and I really hope you do :)

AHHH I LOVE THIS!! The fact that both of them are struggling with this adjustment is kinda beautiful honestly- Plus the addition that all of the others are here too makes me so curious and I'd love to see more! Especially since I really want to know what actually caused all of this to begin with. Also poor Homer, he just wanted to go back to college and now he has to to to wrap his head around all of this 😭 Well I suppose that if his classes don't teach him anything there's still some type of lesson that will be learned. Great work on starting another amazing series :D!

I love this so much! I love seeing all the different interpretations of the Greek Gods!! I'm a huge fan of Percy Jackson, but I've also read things like Lore Olympus as well. Excited to see if this will become a series 😁

I've never really like Greek Mythology (mostly because of Zeus-) but oh boy...you just made me want to watch this over and over again! Please do more parts! I'm extremely eager to see how the story of poor Homer "who just wanted to come back to college" will turn out! ❤

I've been super into short form videos of people playing gods, goddesses, angels, and demons lately. This is like that to the nth degree! I love it in the longer form, by a creator I always enjoy. This is epic. Literally and figuratively, lol! The "I'm a millennial, I can only be depressed" line was hilarious! It gave me "I'm a New Yorker, fear's my life" from Rent vibe. So funny and relatable. I love Hermes. I can't wait to see who else might pop in. I'm super invested in what all happened with Persephone. Hades' reaction about her was so funny. I would love to see this fleshed out! Even if it's doughy flesh, lmao. Super fun!

Oh my gosh this is SO GOOD. It's really funny and the colorization with Hades being darker/cooler colors and Homer being warmer/lighter was neat! Hope you continue it, I can't wait to see where this goes

At first i was like generally hades was pretty civil so this isn't really accurate however upon looking at the situation it makes sense why he's so salty Edit: okay i can DEFINITELY see why he was salty and i like how it shows he was nice enough but humanity has turned him salty
