Do you think that making a new Instagram Account is essential to ensure your topic is picked up. For example my account is years old and was personal, but now I unlocked it as a business account. Would I be better to just start again?

@@igcreatoracademythis was so helpful, thank you for sharing. 🙏 I am in the transition of pivoting careers & unsure whether to keep my existing biz account & just start changing over my content to reflect new biz, utilizing the audience I already have or starting over on a new account - Any thoughts? I only have just over 1000 followers but they are 95% female & that’s my new target audience as-well. Except the businesses are completely different in how I will be serving women. Thank you in advance for any insight you may have on this matter. ☺️

@igcreatoracademy I appreciate you taking the time to respond -thank you! ❤ I am an artist & have been teaching in person art classes for women & now I’m pivoting to Personal Development & coaching after just becoming certified. I want to help women on a much deeper level moving forward. So to answer your Q, yes the women in my existing community will definitely gain from my new content & my pivot but at the same time I understand many of them may not be interested in personal development & only in my art. Hence why I feel paralyzed moving forward & not sure if it’s best to just start over or pivot my existing art account & be prepared to lose some audience but hopefully convert some of them as they follow my new endeavour. Additionally, I’m not sure if changing my content up on my existing account will hurt me when it comes to the algo.? Again, thank you so much for your feedback. There’s so much conflicting info out there it makes it a challenge to know what to do moving forward.

@@jolenemarlor8353 Yes it's a compltely new niche so I would start a new account and announce that in your main account so that those that are interested in personal growth can follow you on the new one. Don't do collab posts between the accounts though, as tempting as it might sound, it could actually hurt your reach in the new account.
