how do you retain knowledge after memorizing things because we would forget a little if not a lot after a period of time

As stated in the video, school isn’t meant for learning but to maximise grades, hence memorisation of content is only meant for performance on the test and not retaining knowledge after. It is normal to complete 100% of the content after the test, but all that matters is that you get high grades. To retain memory leading up to the test you have to keep reciting it.

Yes 100% you can apply this technique to any subject you feel it fits well in. Now to answer ur memorization question, I only memorize when preparing for the test, in the IB that would be 1-2 weeks before test and 2-3 month before final exam

Depends on the definition itself. Context matters, some have to be 100% some is fine if u paraphrase

Do you have any tips for AP chemistry besides this? I've already tried almost every method (ex. feyman, blurting, active recall, etc) but none of them help...

Do the traditional memorization method that I taught just now, don't do any of the "modern" study techniques. Simply cover up, read out loud, recite, and repeat. After memorizing, do past papers and practice questions. Also work on fundementals, because if your fundementals is weak then you won't be able to sovle complex problems.
