He doesn't seem like he is interested in cars. Not yet maybe. He may have different interest, but if you want him to start appreciating cars and if he play video games, can let him start with racing games, a small simple racing rig with the pedal and a steering as a starting. That's how I got into cars, love for cars, my dad bought me psp when I was little, played granturismo on it, learnt shit ton about cars and fell in love till now. If then he still doesn't love cars, well to me it's okaay, he may have love and passion for other things, maybe he is more into watches for example. But as long as you taught him how to care and maintain his own car that he's going to own one day, that is awesome already. We all know how awful we feel when we saw cars on the road in bad conditions right.
