hi everyone!
so this video has been....... a popular request. i suppose? pleasepleaseplease keep in mind that knowing my stats will not do anything for your high school journey, unless YOU choose to go out and make something of your experience. i wish you all the BEST of luck with all that you do!
i was accepted into rutgers university, yale university, harvard university, and georgetown university with these stats. i only applied to five schools total (i was rejected from princeton university). thanks so much for watching :)

@@EpicExplosionify How so? Again, if you take education seriously, why would you not succeed? Many in my school did not get straight As, but those are who skipped classes, didn't study, got in trouble, etc. This really isn't a mystery or some big conspiracy (like inflated grading system) you know. Just work hard. That's not a new concept.

Girl I need a time management video like how you schedule your days to be productive! I’m incoming freshman in college and I’m so scared my poor time managing skills are gonna ruin so many things. I want to actually be able to experience fun things alongside academics since I worked so hard to get into my school but I’m only used to prioritizing academics (and sacrificing well being) and that’s not what I want to do in college!!

@@alexiazamora7257 lol I'm in college now but I don't fully agree with your opinion looking back, however this is coming from someone who doesn't view their main purpose and goal to be an academic career that requires such diligence. I was a student who skipped a lot - if not everything- and was even going to skip prom (until last minute was convinced to go : best decision I made!) and looking back I regret it. Adolescence is a time when you are growing into yourself, and literally forming a personality. psychological theory asserts that the main purpose of adolescence is "to develop a social identity" and i definitely missed out on that due to always focusing on studies. so now I am just learning who I am and experiencing life when I shouldve been doing that way earlier on. To anyone reading this, as a former student who prioritized academics and got into a top university, Balance is important for those who value more in life than their career path and i really recommend it. its times like this pandemic that put into perspective what your priorities in life are so i hope that this sheds light for someone.

@Valarie Gem no I'm not implying all families are poor. And yes, I am saying that because not everyone has supportive parents that want them to succeed. It is an unfortunate reality for some, but not all. My tuition was ~45k not including bookings, parking, or food. I did not get any support from my parents (financially/emotionally/mentally) which made it so much more difficult. Some people have to do it all on their own. Not everyone has to struggle through it like I, or others have.

this video called me dumb in 100 languages,,, finished off freshman year with a damn 3.3 lmao also I didn't know that counselors had to write a letter of recommendation, I've been to her office crying at least 4 times within the school year (our academic and emotional counselors are the same at my school) BIG YIKES

Ok this is crazy, we have the exact same SAT and PSAT breakdown: 1550 750 R/W 800 M 21/24 essay and 1500 PSAT with 740 R/W 760 M 224 Index score, NMS, National AP Scholar too.... I'm shook tbh. Honestly I can't believe you took the risk of only applying to 5 colleges (the best ones in the nation lol) but it paid off and you got into Harvard and Yale! But when I first read your acceptances I was expecting another superhuman asian with national awards and published research but when you went through your application it gave me hope. You seem like a really genuine person who doesn't do activities just to impress colleges and probably your rec's talked about how nice you were. I want to go into finance/ economics and there aren't things like science fairs, summer programs, and research for that area so I didn't rlly do that stuff and recently I was really regretting not doing those impressive things that I didn't rlly care about, but it was really cool to see how being genuine can get you into dream schools too. But I'm still amazed that you only applied to 5 schools... I had a hard time narrowing it down to 27.... I know it might be a problem but idk lol. And like the same scores that is legit voodoo or smthg. Is it ok to write humble things in your essays? I kinda want to talk about how I love animals but I am worried colleges won't care as much as me talking about my career goals and intellectual interests.

Hi Christine! I need some advice! (Sorry if this is long). Just for some background info, I'm going into my junior year, and I'm not striving for Ivies--I am, however, looking into top 25/top 50 schools in the U.S. I've gotten straight A's (including 2 or 3 A-'s) throughout freshman and sophomore year. Last year, I also took AP World and scored a 5 on the exam. I need some advice on my schedule next year--I'm planning on taking APUSH, APES, AP Stat, and DE Lang/Comp (I plan on taking the AP Lang exam). For electives, I am taking the Newspaper--I took it last year and became an editor this year--and I am doing Writing Center as a writing tutor. I did Spanish for 5 years, and am choosing not to go into AP. I'm wondering, should I tough it out and take AP Calc or stick with AP Stat (I chose it because I am taking a doubleblocked science and didn't want to be too stressed out). Also, does this schedule seem competitive? My extracurriculars are pretty strong--I play tennis, have a KZfaq channel, participate in Marine Conservation Club, go to Sunday School, and I have two jobs (one as an unpaid volunteer). I also plan on starting a Bullet Journaling club next year and being in NHS. I just really want to get your opinion! Thank you so much!
