My wife and i travel a lot, the Army taught me how to live like a "Scumbag" by doing laundry in sinks, bags, and such and hanging stuff out do dry on what's ever available . When ones travels you may or may not have access to laundry facilities( you should know this man). Sometimes one has to do what one has to do.

Normal people wash their socks and underwear. You hang them over the shower curtain rod to dry. That’s what Normal people do.

If you want all the stuff, stay at the Hilton.

The long black hair in the sink means you were at a genuine Motel 6. That's hard to fake.

I remember back in the day you could stay at and 6 without a problem. Beds weren't the most comfortable...just the basics....but clean and cheap. Not anymore!! Back in '81, when my husband and I lived in my Vega station wagon, we stayed at motel 6 on weekends. A clean bed, shower, and roof over our head. Seems like no fridge back then...we ate Vienna sausage sandwiches and potted meat....broke as hell, and drank sambo's bottomless cup of coffee for breakfast for 25 cents. 😂❤

Floor was probably still drying from being mopped. And the guy hanging his socks or anything is nothing I haven’t done staying at places like this. Washed and hung them up. I like to only stay at the Hilton or Marriott type of places

I used to be a laundry person and a supervisor at a motel6 and I was hard on my staff, I checked everything throughout the room as if I was going to stay in it.

Growing up, we took a lot of vacations and stayed at many hotels. My mom would always go into the office and ask for the key to see the room first before she paid for it. They always let her...if it was clean we would stay, if not, she would give key back and we would look elsewhere.

Play the motel 6 game it’s called guess the stench and stain always top notch entertainment

The microwa e and fridge just give them 2 more things to clean.

The reality is the days of a good cheap one night stay motels is over.Last year I stayed at a Motel 6 in Billings Montana.You have to see it to believe it.Trash everywhere,abandoned cars,methheads clogging the walkways ,my first three keys didnt work finally the manager came down with her master key which still didnt solve my problem.No microwave,no fridge tv was center punched so no tv.There was one lightbulb.The nasty soiled pair of panties laying in front of my door brought the whole thing together.

Why not a Marriott? There affordable, clean, and have free breakfast.

I used to live in a pretty decent 'high end' type apartment complex in a decent suburb. The normal residents were professionals, doctors, lawyers and some Pro Sports team players. Probably a block down the road was a Motel 6. A guy that was moving into the building next to mine with his wife and kids was staying there till they had an apartment open up. The wife worked there part time. She said the whole office was surrounded in bullet proof glass and they told her not to go outside after 9PM FOR ANY REASON. I talked to one of the local cops and he said they would get 1-2 calls a week at that place for a DB. Mostly junkies OD'd or Hookers having too much fun. They advertised 'monthly' rates. A dead giveaway. Pardon the pun.

Yup definitely a handicapped room I literally been homeless for like almost 2 weeks now and been going from hotel to hotel the best one was a extended stay room. But I mostly pay for Red Roof Inn and Motel 6 rooms because they are the cheapest and motel 6 rooms have the bathroom sink outside the bathroom unless you get the handicapped room which has it inside because that was my very first stay at a hotel/motel I bought I didn’t even know it was ADA room lol but yeah you pay like $8-10 more dollars for the microwave and fridge facts 😅😭😭🤣

Weird I also had a bad dream about a airplane but in my dream it crashed and I found body parts in my garage. I hate dreams like that !!!!!!

I travel for work and getting a decent room is a crap shoot. That is a clean looking room considering it’s a motel 6. I’ve walked into a room and turned around and left. I went to the dollar store down the street and cleaned my room so i could try to sleep. I didn’t have a choice because the small town only had a couple of hotels and they were all nasty. The closest town was over an hour’s drive and company wouldn’t approve the distance…(i work for the government and am an RN). Now I always carry Lysol disinfectant spray and EVERYTHING is sprayed and cleaned. I do that in every room regardless of brand name. Safe travels, Lamont.

The best Motel 6 I stayed at was in Williams, Arizona. I think it must have been new or newly refurbished. The worst Motel 6 I stayed at was down the highway in Flagstaff, Arizona. It was filthy including hair and bodily fluids around the bed if you know what I mean. Disgusting 🤮

I've found that the handicapped rooms are usually nicer and kept up over the regular rooms. Nice big bathrooms too. I think that motels in general are a shot in the dark. The standards really vary depending on who owns and manages the place. Some people or cultures don't have the same standards as others. It really depends. It sucks that you weren't given a fridge or microwave.
