I am sharing here experience of my stay at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort.
This is one out of the only 3 hotels sitting directly on the beach in the center of Waikiki so there is no better location for a hotel.Duke's - the most popular restaurant in Waikiki is also located over here. International Market Place is just across the street.This hotel offers amazing views of Waikiki Beach and you can see the beach from almost every room.

We like the lower floors, too, as you have mentioned in a couple of your KZfaqs. It makes you feel as if you are part of what is happening on the beach, etc. even if you are on your lanai.

Great review of the Outrigger! By the way, the yellow catamaran on the beach, does that belong to the hotel? Or can the hotel reserve excursions on it for their guests?

Not loving the hotel kinda dated room and they have shower curtains that’s an Automatic no for Us thank you for the review

Hi ! I personally would choose Outrigger bc you are in the middle of Waikiki , from Hilton Hawaiian its about 20-30 min walk to Waikiki . What's your favorite beach vacation spot in Europe ? Maybe that's will kinda help me understand what your vibe is

I have never stayed at the Modern , its closer to Hilton Hawaiian Village ( very pretty) but its not directly in Waikiki so you have to walk 20-30min to Waikiki. My order here would be 1.Outrigger Waikiki , 2.Hyatt Regency ( have stayed here many times, do like the location and views from the hotel , rooms are pretty spacious ) and then 3.The Modern. Your video was exactly what I was looking for! THANK YOU! You mentioned sunset 8 months out of the year being right off your balcony. What room type did you have and what months out of the year is sunset right off that balcony? I am surprising my daughter with a trip there for her 16th birthday in June!

How exciting ! So happy for you! Im afraid in June the sun is already way to the right , so you won't be able to see sunset from the balcony. I think May until late August , no straight sunset in Waikiki. I had ocean front room .As for sunset , you can still see sunset in June ( I think!) from Kapiolani Park . Always recommend renting a car and driving to either west side or north shore , you can def catch a sunset over there in June. Let me know if your need any more info :)

Again. Wrong. Hotel. Please please skip all the people from Kansas. And go to a ture Hawaiian experience. Please trust me. It's the Kaimana beach front hotel. At diamond head with your own beach. You will not hear people asking for apple butter at the restaurant. Please try it you will thank me!

@@KentKiner-dt5rp Kaimana hotel doesn’t have its own beach . All beaches are public in Hawaii.
