Stop trying to infer this was some exclusive Islamic practice. This was a worldwide practice and societal norm among the Christian, Jews, and even Polytheists before, during,and after the time of Muhammad. Child brides were common centuries before Muhammad. Consummation of marriage never takes place until after a girl's period. You know, when they're able to actually have children. Know your F**king History before opening your mouth. But then again, you might have already known that,and just doing what any good Hasbara do.

I had the privilege of meeting Mahmoud Abdul Rauf during his days in Baton Rouge while playing at LSU. He use to visit my mother's home after the games to eat, laugh, and enjoy good company. We even played horse together...which I lost...hahaha. Great ball player and awesome guy to know. I am glad he is doing well these days.

Man that is some bull! Im a devout Christian and for them to blackball him because of his beliefs and thoughts, is a crime! This guy would had been in the HOF and was Curry before Curry was even thought of. This burns me up. I love watching him shoot the basketball.

I'm not a muslim, but I have and always had a lot of respect for this man. The principles of having faith, utilizing your imagination, and practicing visualization are universal and powerful. I know a lot of religious people, but very few( myself included) has ever took a stand for what they believe in the way this man has.

the kendred spirit I stood up by myself at a job against corruption and I won, in my own way. Although I came out the victor in the situation, I can tell you its easy to make the decision but its not easy dealing with backlash because of your stance. My so called friends there turned against me and noone had my back, although a couple people tipped me off to what was going on. When I left the job, it benefited me more and the person I complained about quit with no severance because the investigation I launched exposed her dirt and the job turned against her after her dirt was exposed. She left in disgrace, lol. From what I found out later, I was looked at as a "hero" after I left, lol. Columbia, MD is crazy. When the truth comes out about black people here, the whites who lie on them, look even worse, lol.

The stories about his training make sense. He had to be doing something nobody else was doing to play like noone else played. Incredible. Was so lucky to watch him at LSU.

Even though he was demonized and blackballed his jersey is still worn by people. practically to this day. The common man hasn't forgotten. When his videos first showed up on youtube I saw comments from people who knew him or watched him from all stages of his life from highschool, college until his overseas teams. They all said only good things about him. People are not stupid.

Mahmoud and I grew up together in Gulfport, MS (Soria City). We knew that he was special at a young age. We did not know what Tourettes was so I nicknamed him "day dreamer" because he would zone out in the middle of playing or talking to you. Little did we know, that this would shape his life and make him into the great man that he is today. We are still good friends to this day. We even had a neighborhood basketball team call the Soria City Sixers. My nickname was Dennis Johnson and his nickname was Dr. J; because of the way he played. We would dominate the parks.
@rasbury659 жыл бұрын
I was stationed in Gulfport MS on the SeaBee base. He would come on base when was a JR and SR in high school and play. Did you ever come with him ? He called me Ninja cuz I had a Ninja motorcycle. He was fun to watch, quick as lightning and he could elevate so fast !
@400hundyrs9 жыл бұрын
He was younger than me. He was a Soph when I graduated from GHS. We had a neighborhood team called the Soria City Sixers. We used to play on the CB base, Gaston Point, basically, anywhere we could get a game.

Much respect due, Mahmoud was like the Muslim Steph Curry when Steph was a toddler. Arguably the most underrated player of all time, seriously. His story tells you what sort of society we live in. Pyramid scheme. Dissent will be snuffed out in any major channel. As soon as Mahmoud gave real talk about 9-11 that was it. God bless, and Allah-U-Abha-

He was some kind of scorer, especially at LSU. Back when it meant something to be a 'star' freshman amongst the great Sophomores and Juniors who stayed in school. He faced off in some great games against the great UNLV team, Georgetown at the Superdome and Georgia Tech with Kenny Anderson in the NCAA's. If not for Pete Maravich he'd be considered the greatest scorer in LSU history, but he was just as exciting. He's a very good public speaker.

Alhamduiallah! that was powerful. I'm glad to to see that their are people that still value justice over "the almighty dollar". I too have come to terms with the fact that I have too make tough decsions based on the tenants of my belief as opposed to just the looking at the immediate monetary gain of this life.Some things my conscience just wont allow me to do despite how alluring it seems and the fact that every one else is doing it. His story was inspiring and motivating.

As great as America claims to be, we are behind other nations in that we are afraid of things we don't understand. We are sometimes mentally lazy, which brings about prejudice and misunderstanding.
