One point for those that are older like me at 64, I find age spots are more noticeable with self tanners. I try not to add to mu h to those areas so it doesn't accentuate those age spots.

Great tips! Last Friday I took the plunge and went all Sharalee on my pixie! I’ll admit there was a short moment of completely freaking out over the length. When I got home, my husband looked up and said “what did you do to your hair?” Then he said “I love it, you look younger!” Wow…It is a keeper for sure!!

Great video! I have been a sunless tanning gal for over 25 years and offered spray tanning in my salon. I have also found a wonderful product by Westmore Beauty. It's not a sunless tanner but a body coverage perfector. It will last several days easily, gives immediate color and obviously no odor. When in a hurry and need color "now", you can't beat it! Pricey, but a great additional tool in your tanning, coverage toolbelt! Roberta😘

Unfortunately we don´t have those products in Germany. I tried self tanning products before, but the problem is that my towles turn brown even after 1 day of waiting. Also my T-Shirts get a brown texture, especially when I swet. I had several small operations due to white skin cancer and should avoid too much sun. So I tried different self tanning lotions, because I like a nice tan during the summer time. I hope, I´ll find a good product in Germany one of these days..... But I love all your videos and I think, you are a wonderful person. Even though I´m 68 I love watching you and I actually try out quite a few of your make-up tips and especially your hair videos (my hair is also pretty short). Thank you so much for sharing your good ideas!!

I no longer apply sunless tanner to my face. I find that it doesn't last more then a couple of days because of my skincare routine. I also no longer do my hands & feet. I now live in Florida and just from wearing flip flops and sandals all the time my feet get color. My hands are in water so frequently that is doesn't last on my hands either. I totally agree with the back application. I have the same mitt and I love that it has that nice band that keeps the mitt from moving all around. The color you are using looks great on you.

Oh yay!! She will LOVE the ability to have tan legs overnight! I wish tanners were this good when I was in high school...we had to wear pantyhose with our cheer skirts if we wanted to look "tan"!😂😘

Please read the labels and know what chemicals you're applying to your skin. Far to many can and do cause hormone disruption. This can lead to many issues for women.

Super helpful! On your recommendation I got the Coco & Eve tanning mousse and love it! I also got the face mist, but no matter what I do, I never get any color from it . Not unusual though because I’ve never found a face one that works on me.

I like how you put them all into one video. One question: did you try to compare the color payoff if you exfoliate the day before? Or, did you try a primer that balances the pH value? I wonder if these two tricks can bring a deeper, longer lasting color

I watch your video over and over I just love them!!! I know you use sun less tanner. But I have brown spots on my legs from being out in the sun for years. When I use self tanning it settles in those spots !!! Any suggestions 🤷‍♀️thank you so much.

Thank you so much for these tips! I’m one of those fair skinned redheads that never tan but always burn. Sunless tanning always seemed so difficult, and because of my fairness, I’ve always been afraid that it would make me look like an Oompa Loompa. My only questions are: How often do you apply self tanner, and do you remove the old tan before you self tan again and how do you do that? Thank you!! 😊

You are so welcome! Once you find the right tanner and perfect the process, you'll love it! I usually apply it once a week. It will gradually fade throughout the week so when it's time to reapply, it's pretty easy to remove the remaining tan with the Remover Mitt that I showed as part of the exfoliating process😘

Great video Sharalee! I would like to know in your opinion, what is the best body Moisturizer to use when self tanning? I use to use your recommendation of soap and glory call of fruity but it has been discontinued and I am unable to get it here in Ga. I loved how it soaked in quickly without having to rub and rub. My skin is normal to dry. Thank you for all you do! I love all of your videos! ❤️

This was great information I do have a question though the sunless tanners that I use they come off in the shower so how can I keep that from happening

As long as you wait at least 8+ hrs before showering, the sunless tanner itself will continue to develop color even after rinsing it off. The color you are seeing wash off in the shower is just the temporary guide color that sunless tanners have to help you apply them more evenly. So don't worry when you see the color rinsing down the drain! Your tan will continue to develop up to 24 hrs later and then that color will stay on through the week and just gradually fade.

I wish. Sadly I am allergic to most sunless tanners. I was hoping to formulas had changed and tried Jergens Natural Glow. Took a little longer but then the rash showed up. So white legs it is.😂😂

Oh that is a bummer!! My friend is allergic to DHA and it doesn't matter if it's natural or not or what the other ingredients are, she also breaks out in a rash. A great "one day tan" option is the Sally Hansen's Leg Makeup spray. It's easy to apply and lasts pretty well for the day😍
