Hey man I hope this project is going good..I jus purchased one and I’m following your project. These things are so much fun. I might need some road diff work on mines but for a 92 it’s in nice shape. From Phoenix az hello my friend.

Hey thanks a lot! I've been out of the country for 2 months, so the project is at a complete standstill! When I get home I'm hoping to set aside a full Saturday and really make some progress, I've got a few broken bolts thay are really holding me back. Good all getting the 92, there are a lot more parts available for the leaf sprung models.

Did you recall anything strange happening leading up to this, like accidentally mis-shifting and over-revving the engine into redline or having detonation pinging? I've seen some other kei turbo engines have similar issues with no clear explanation of what led up to it. Trying to figure out what may have gone wrong and how to prevent it, essentially.

I am wanting to purchase one in a month but it is a 550 and super clean & low miles. How did your repair turn out new video I hope.

I don't know much about the 550s, but it sounds interesting. The repair is still not finished, but I've been slowly making progress. Will have an update soon!

I did notice that on your 660 is a DOHC and looks like shim under bucket, just like a performance motorcycle engine. Where the 550 is a SOHC with regular tappet adjusters. Looking forward to your new video about the repair.

What kind of mileage did you have when you had the problem?
@brandinstoesz20283 жыл бұрын
Leading up to the problem I was averaging 10.7L/100km! On the highway in the summer I could get as low as 8L/100km, in the city in the winter up to 13L/100km!
