Hi! IMHO, consider dabbing on the Loctite with a toothpick for more precise application. TINY bit of Loctite on male threads only. Never the female threads. Knead the tube to mix the ingredients before use. Toothpick for the Permatex, also. 🙂

Mr. K, thanks for the advice, I’ll do just that next time. I didn’t know that I shouldn’t apply the thread locker on the female end. I might switch to a different permatex, the ultra grey rigid high torque RTV for a better seal. Thank you for watching!

@@galkawarrior I was a plumber for 20 years and it`s actually against the plumbing code to apply thread sealant to anything other than male threads. So, I just go by that. Seemed reasonable. Way easier to control where it goes. Also, I am looking for recommendations for motor/trans for my truck, when I get him going. I`m gonna need some serious power to get this monster rolling, lol. Right now, I have a WPL plastic 2-speed and a 370 motor. Which are not gonna last too long considering how much he`s gonna weigh. 8 pounds, maybe? Do you have any suggestions? ty! 🙂
