Here is my 6 months post surgery update after having my tarlov cyst surgery in Dallas. TX. As always, this is just my perspective and journey, but my goal is to provide hope for those also living with this and facing tough decisions.

I'm so glad of your recovery. I went to Dr. F office early this month. Waiting for insurance authorization for surgery schedulling. Thanks for your updates and for sharing your story.

My wife will be getting surgery by Dr. F. before the end of this year (waiting for scheduling). What was the hotel you and your mother stayed at in Dallas? Did it have a kitchen? We appreciate that you shared your before & after experience so thoroughly . Wish you good health for years to come.

Hello! I honestly was not happy with our hotel choice so I cannot recommend it. It provided what I needed, but was very outdated and not in the best areas. Definitely do a lot of searching and find something within your budget, but that is in a good area.

@@meetthemaskeys4139 ok, we aren’t from Dallas so how do we know ahead of time? I’m working from Dr F’s list of hotels near the hospital. Residence Inn looks promising.

My brother has found to have this disease..I am going with him to see a doctor..can you tell me..is this disease curable??please guide me..I am really worried for my brother

Hi, how long did the pre-cert process take?

It did take a little bit, but I also had to jump through a few loops to get my insurance to approve everything. I was confirmed that surgery would be best in June, got insurance approval finally in November and was called to schedule surgery in January then. My insurance didn't want to approve everything they needed to do for the surgery, so Dr. F's office had to do some back and forth with them for a bit.

Did you have tingling and burning sensations in your legs prior surgery? If yes did it go away after surgery?

Hello! I can't say that I necessarily had tingling or burning, but my leg often felt weak or almost like "restless legs" feeling. I no longer have that sensation at all.
