Avi Kaplan says the same thing and I have to agree with this comment. Those who already think they're perfect are extremely flawed people. As someone suffering from DPDR and self-loathing, I don't know what the moderate amount would look like and how it would compare to these two extremes. I never really thought about it but yeah, I suppose my mental health blurs the lines a little bit and I'm forced to see everything in black and white. Kinda sucks.

My guess would be healthy diet, exercise, and perhaps a lotion and/or exfoliator like a lufa. But also, a good deal of makeup. He looks like he's under some pretty intense lighting, which requires stage makeup to prevent glare. Stage makeup is not the same as conventional makeup, though - it looks obviously fake when not on camera, and is much thicker.

There can be so many factors to that sort of thing. Simply moisturizing can make a huge difference, though. Neutrogena's Hydro Boost water gel is fantastic and much more affordable than Sunday Riley's Tidal. Whatever you get, you want something non-comedogenic, which means it won't clog up pores. What cleanser you use can make a difference. Even something labeled for sensitive skin can be harsh. Retinoids are a good baseline, too. Not only do they help with acne, but they are anti-wrinkle products. The downside, which the newly over the counter Differin fails to mention, is to minimize the redness and sensitivity the most, they should be started every other night for 3 - 4 weeks with a super thin layer before going to every night. (Moisturizing both after and 12 hours later.) For women, being on hormone therapy (AKA birth control pills) can help as well. A dermatologist would be able to give you your best answer if you have recurrent issues. Some people need to go beyond the retinoids. They may need benzoyl peroxide or a topical antibiotic such as clindamycin, or all the way up to a very serious drug called isotretinoin. The most difficult part is sticking with the routine because full results can easily take 3 - 4 months.

2:19 I think instead of Chinese food you mean “Americanized” Chinese food because real Chinese cuisine is not that salty. I am from a Chinese family and the food we normally eat is not as salty as food from places like Panda Express. P. S. Love your videos!

Yeah, when Americans say "Chinese food" they're referring to the unhealthy Americanized version, not what you guys actually eat. If they're talking about what people actually eat in China then they'll usually refer to it as "real Chinese food".

@@camilleb292 One of my favorite dishes is stir-fried tomato and egg. It's pretty simple to make, and there are plenty of recipes online. My family doesn't follow recipes when making it, though, since we are used to just eyeballing everything. Normally, we use a few tomatoes (cut into wedges), a few eggs (beaten and salted to taste), some canola oil, and some sugar if tomatoes are out of season. (I told you we eyeball everything, lol.) We first add the canola oil and cook the tomatoes in a wok, and add the eggs when a lot of juice comes out of the tomatoes. Next, we scramble the eggs and tomatoes. Then, we cook it until it is fully cooked, and we add sugar if the tomatoes are too sour. Finally, we eat it with steamed rice and vegetable dishes. I recommend following a recipe first and then changing the amount of ingredients to your taste. Hope this helped, and happy cooking!

For some people, it comes quite naturally and Doctor Mike may be one of them. Other people can learn that through mindfulness/meditation or some kind of psychological training. You can try that (first check if the trainer is trustworthy, of course). But if you suffer very much as a result of stress, you have panic attacks, IBS or stress-related vomiting, social anxiety, depression, eating disorder etc., definitely go see a trained/certified mental health professional.

I decided to have a septrhinoplasty last December and it was the BEST decision I’ve ever made. Leading up to my sx, I had a lot of people who decided to throw in their two cents about it, in a negative way. I’m glad I didn’t listen to them and can be more confident going into my late 20’s.

During this time I attended the program, I had to learn to be okay with being wrong and to have to "eat it and learn from it" instead of focusing on a failure or not being 100% right with a treatment or catching everything in assessments. I see some people still thinking that your still a perfect person and just hope they see they could improve themselves more with acceptance of failure and growth from it and some self love for flaws. Very healthy perspective you have on many topics- keep up the amazing work! Cheers ^_^

Well a zombie apocalypse is impossible in the traditional sense of the “living dead”. Like the show the Walking Dead? Zombies like that will never exist. But what he says is possible is humans that become ultra deranged like a rabid animal and just want to eat everything.

I absolutely love what you said regarding the comment about you being perfect. I think that your response shows what it is that the viewer might see as "perfect" and that's the fact that you're a well rounded, intelligent, humble (but also nice looking and successful) guy with humility and humor, etc. More often than not, those things don't all come together. That's why, for some of us, it's easy to say that you seem 'perfect'. I would say something more along the lines of, you're a wonderful example of how men should be. Even hearing your comments about how men should treat women (when you did a Grey's review) is refreshing. It shows that the men that are portrayed on television, whether good or bad are admired and having someone who appears to genuinely be a good man, point that out is something that we need more of, especially this day & age. Thank you for everything that you do. You have a way to make something important entertaining as well. For someone like me, (who has been in the medical field for 15 years) the medicine is enough, but for others, that entertainment factor could open their minds up to something positive that they might not have considered otherwise. From a parental standpoint, I can say that the world definitely needs more of that. I'd much rather have my kids follow someone like you that can teach them important, educational things about many different topics (that they Need to know and that will benefit them) than all of the 'entertaining' nonsense that they have on social media these days that teaches them the opposite of what they need to know. I appreciate you and am grateful for the information that you provide.

@@jquiznos2283 Plastic surgery is not all cosmetic. In my country, plastic surgeons are also called 'RE surgeons', with RE being 'reconstruction and aesthetics' (it's RE because we drop the 'a' in 'aesthetics'). So what s/he had must've been the reconstruction part. Other reconstruction cases they may do are cleft palates and burn scars, which are big deals. My preceptor in general surgery was mad when we look down upon plastic surgeons and start calling them cosmetic doctors. While I'd argue there are some truths to that stereotype, they also do some procedures that deserve our attention. That being said, as a doctor myself, I'm also quite on the fence about aesthetic medicine.

My nanny had gall stones, not too severe. She was in excruciating pain so we called up for a doctor and he hospitalized my nanny and since we were on a vacation we had to go back in a week or so my mom told the doctor to subside the pain but considering the fact that she was in the hospital for 4 days and they still couldn't subside the pain and we were putting pressure on the doctor looking at her agonizing state of mind it was causing a very hard time for us looking at her and doing nothing so the doctor ordered some medicines for her and we just bought them and gave it to the doctor and my nani was a person who had undergone open heart surgery with major blockages and right at the moment they were like "we are gonna inject 50 mg of morphine into her" AND GUESS WHAT WITHIN 10MINS. SHE DIED. Now that I'm studying medicine I understand how wrongly my nanny was treated and so many things were wrong with their way of treating my nanny. I take pride in the fact that good doctors like you are trying to educate people *I wish I had that privilege when I was younger maybe my nanny would not have died.*

DEFINITELY pads. Tampons can result in something called Toxic Shock Syndrome in which theres an overgrowth of bacteria that can poison the body and be fatal...a blood saturated tampon just sitting there in the vaginal canal is a great place for these bacteria to grow
@callmeyourdai5y518

@@nikiedmonds6236 Just so you know, pads can also cause TSS and cancer from the chemicals in them. The bacteria can grow on your pad and *ahem* up your vagina in the same way it would a tampon. It's more common in tampons because of the conditions a tampon is in and tampons tend to be at a greater risk of contamination but pads (and menstrual cups) have been found to cause it too.

@@anna-michellecourshon505 Don't worry, pads are not associated with TSS. They can lead to a higher risk of other types of infections if not changed often enough. It is generally safe to wear a pad overnight. As for chemicals, there are now several brands that make chemical-free organic cotton pads if that is a concern for you. As for menstrual cups, the jury's still out, there have only been two reported cases of TSS linked back to cups and in both cases, they were left in way too long (about a week). I hope that answers some questions.

Also girls do have the condition at the same rate as boys (another misconception that 90's research disproved) it just that they are more likely to present without hyperactivity which is why they were consistently underdiagnosed. Not saying there isn't overdiagnosis in the US - but your "information" is at least 20 years out of date.
