Some great choices for blends to age, especially the bulk ones. I still need to try some of the others you’ve mentioned.

I highly recommend them all 😊

I’ve never had SD, but I’ve heard good things about it! This is a great list of blends to age! I gotta give that Warped blend a try! Take care bro!

Yeah the Salty Dogs is good stuff. A bit of a pain but once you cut it up just let it dry.. Man that Red Hunt is one of my favorite blends of all time and it seems to only get better 😊

Great choices. I have most of all you mentioned. I had some Salty Dogs today also, but I like mine moist I never dry tobacco out. 😎😎😎
@JCpNK2 жыл бұрын
I usually don’t like stuff crispy. A little moist is fine.. Like those Gawith blends you’d probably have to let it sit out for a week to do that lol

Hey there JC. I’m kind of new to piping, I just started beginning of this year. So I haven’t had a chance to age anything for myself but I have picked up a couple jars of Briarworks Tobacco from my local cigar shop that were dated 2016 and 2017. It was Back Down South which is a VaPer and Pete’s Beards Blend which is a mild English blend. I also got country lawyer, I think it’s called but I haven’t opened that one yet. The other two are really good. I don’t know what they were like new, but they’re both kind of a mild mellow flavor but deep and rich when you go slow and savor it. I sure have stocked up on a lot of tobacco in this last four months though, I intend to have some of it for quite a few years before I open it. Thanks for this video, I really appreciate it. I’m gonna be looking into some of the ones you mentioned.

I’m not as big on Virginias, but the LBF and Superior Round Slices are two of my cellar blends. I keep a couple lbs around all the time.

Fun list! I’d put hh pure Virginia and capstan Gold in my list. Then also some of the ratray’s blinds like Hal o the wynd. Love my Virginia burleys though😁👍🏻 happy smokes

I have all of those aging as well. I didn’t wanna make a 50 tobacco list though 😂

Haven’t tried half of them, but some of the ones I’ve tried should make it into everyone’s “deep cellar list”! I’ve got some FVF and De Luxe Navy Rolls from 2017 onwards. Bob’s chocolate flake I always smoke sort of fresh… it’s not available in tins here and the loose is impossible to date, but I’m sure it will age perfectly like all Gawith flakes. 😂 I also managed to get a sausage of Peter Heinrich Curly Block, which is as close to Escudo as possible… will see what happens in few years. ✌️
@JCpNK2 жыл бұрын
Peter Heinrich blends are hard to come by over here.. I prefer to buy my Gawith blends in bulk actually. I just throw them in a mason jar and write the date I purchased it on the lid. You need to age some bobs chocolate man! Nothing like it
@SMOKIN-STICK2 жыл бұрын
It’s the best bulk English in my opinion👏🏻 I’ve only gotten about 1 1/2 years on it, but it’s trending well👍🏻

I was just thinking of my favorite non English/Balkan blends, and I realized they all have dark fired in them. McConnell Scottish flake and cake, Solani silver, Pease jack knife plug,ODF. I never thought about it. I do enjoy some aged escudo though
@JCpNK2 жыл бұрын
Solani silver is a good one.. Haven’t had Scottish but I’ll have to pick a tin up. Have a great weekend Todd 👍
@Dwightpower882 жыл бұрын
@@JCpNK I think I bought all the tins on the last drop lol. McConnell is underrated I think. They also have an oriental blend that is amazing. Orientals, Virginias, and just a little latakia.

I have some Arango Balkan Supreme,about 2 pounds of it. I going to try some in a few months to see if a little aging made a difference.

I put mine away also for a bit.. I’ve been smoking that Palmetto Balkan lately as my English blend. Great stuff

Out of all the Dunhill blends that’s the one I’m glad they brought back. Escudo ages so well. Maybe better then any other blend I’ve had
