Nice to see someone NOT bashing Arcade 1up. Those people act like they should be getting perfect machines designed to beat on, for a low price. They say they can get an actual old machine for the same price. Yeah, but youll be fixing it often cause the parts are a thousand years old. Arcade 1up has its issues for sure, but for the price, they cant be beat. I love these things

Thanks, appreciate the list. I come at things from a different angle. I don't have parties or groups of guys over and honestly neither one of my kids are big gamers. I finally went in on an Arcade1Up with the T2 cabinet at Black Friday as shooters are unique and expect it to be something mindlessly fun for few minutes at a time. Personally, I wished that A1U had do a completely different approach. I get that some people like the 3/4 cabinets and some even like the shorter ones without risers, but I would've loved to see a TRUE 1:1 full-scale cabinet with a quality 19"+ LED monitor and arcade-quality controls, speakers and buttons. Then, instead of making dozens of various versions and editions requiring you to buy many new machines, have ONE for each type (Fighting, Classic, Shooter, Pinball, Racing) but allow an online store to where you could purchase 100% licensed ROMs. I'd absolutely buy games like the Operation Wolf series, Area 51, etc as addons even if they were $40+.

T2/RR seem like fun cabs with instant unique appeal in the way they look. Hoping to get some sales in this part of the world to make em affordable! Just like hoping a SW re-release is real, and will be available as it seems to be everyone's #1 and taunts those of us who never got a chance to get on it!

I noticed a lot of people's best arcade machines really depends on the time that you grew up. Since I'm older therefore my top arcade1up machines is Dragon's Lair and Tron. I've never had any problems with my flight stick on Tron and I know many other people thats never had any problems. I played Dragon's Lair at the arcade and was able to complete the entire game with one man. I remember jumping in on scenes that my friends couldn't complete and then I would jump out so they could finish.😀👍 Space Ace and Dragons lair 2 was much harder for me. Yep we think alike in many ways man. Star Wars was my first arcade machine and I got it when it first dropped in October of 2019! I absolutely love the cabinet and the games are timeless and fun! I want to get the Ridge Racer for my racing cabinet, mod it with a PC and load it with all the racing games I can put on it. Ridge Racer was one of 2 games I beat on one credit at the arcades. The other game I beat on one credit was Sega Outrunners.

Ha great list man. I have 13 cabinets currently in my game room from generation 1 through current and the original TMNT is definitely in my top 5. As is T2. Bought it when it went on sale to 400 and I'm glad I did. Easily the best looking cabinet I own. And couldn't agree more that Star Wars is absolutely my number 1. I never realized what kind of demand there is for that cabinet. The real question is do I sell it for 1200 and buy the re release if and when it comes out haha.

Do you have any issues with your Golden tee XL trackball? If I hit a drive too hard it duffs it like 60 feet.

I gotta agree with TMNT being in there. It and SF cocktail cab are the only cabs out of 10 purchased I didn’t have some quality issue with. I’ve had a riser with permanent marker cover ups, upside down are on my logo panel, busted pcbs, control modules, dead pixels and more!

Anyone have any advice on the best cabinet to get as far as gameplay and button layout to play Asteroids Missile command Tempest I think those 3 are my favorites Just trying to get one cabinet But want the buttons similar to the originals

If I had to rank mine on sheer use, in no particular order it would be NBA Jam, KI, Golden Tee, MvC, and toss up between Pacman 40th & Atari Legacy. Cabinets that have become "dust collectors" of sorts are surprisingly TMNT, SF2 gen1, & Golden Axe. I gotta get one of those re releases of Star Wars though!

One of mine is Golden Axe the revenge of death adder cab. That game has never had a port to a console since the arcade. Can’t emulate 100% on Mame. This is a unique and rare cab.

buck hunter and star wars gets lots of play time. ninja turtles always has 4 kids playing. punisher on msh makes that a big win. and hopefully I can choose between t2 and ki to finish up my favorites. (wife is almost ready to give the green when they go back on sale) teamed up with the kids on this one.

I have to give an honorable mention to NBA Jam. The only problem is some of the missing players but code mystics did a good job on that cab

can't argue with those 5 good choices but I'm a huge TMNT fan so my number one would definitely be turtles cab I also got alot of nostalgia and memories for MK but TMNT is my jam

Since lists are fun, and there is no point to disagreement Fox, since we all have different tastes in games, and some of us probably have different cabinets to begin with, I throw my top five in that I own. From five to one - Final Fight, Super Pac-Man, TMNT 3rd wave, Dragon's Lair, Star Wars. That Star Wars cabinet is the best cabinet they ever put out. It is the only one that didn't have some issue that needed immediate correction or a firmware needed to make run correctly. But like I said, there are hundreds of arcade titles from the 80's and 90's and every person will have their own set of favorites. Nobody is wrong for having a different favorite ever. It's just fun to compare our lists.

I’m tempted on getting the mk 30th since its currently on sale, but the crappy screen is making me lose sleep at night, for me the best cab that I own is Capcom legacy, love the street fighter 2 artwork on it, and game selection is full of classics.

We're on the same page with number one, Star Wars is my favorite arcade game of all time and Arcade1up did right by the fans by choosing to make it a quality release :) The others on your list, I don't own... Well... That's not entirely true. I did own Marvel Vs. Capcom 2... Until yesterday, that is. I didn't even open the box. My plan was to preorder it from a place easy to return to, because Arcade1up reps kept saying if you didn't preorder, you wouldn't get one, and then hopefully watch some reviews from the KZfaqrs I follow most closely, and if good, unbox and build it. If bad, send it packing. After seeing the laundry list of issues keep piling up, corroborated by many in the community, and the uneasy track record I've experienced personally with Arcade1up throughout the years, the trust was gone. So yesterday, with a heavy heart, I took my unopened Arcade1up Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 cabinet back to Best Buy and got a refund. This was incredibly hard for me as Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is a dream cab for me. This is one of the cabs I requested Arcade1up make when they first came onto the scene. And now it was reality and I had the dang thing in my house, it was mine, but as that one lady said in the Matrix... "Not like this." I may never get a chance to have Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 in this decently sized form factor ever again, but I'm just going to have to be ok with that. I know, for me, if I kept it, I would just be sending Arcade1up a message that it's ok to put out poor quality (in my opinion) releases like this. And if I kept it, I would clearly be the hypocrite as I've said many times, I speak with my wallet. I spoke with my wallet with Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, drawing a clear line in the sand and saying, no more. So glad to hear the spoiler that you found it the right cab for you :) I hope if you did find anything wrong, Arcade1up will fix those issues. I look forward to your review :) vgv

I don’t be buying anymore until arcade 1 up releases games that failed on consoles I need like operation wolf their just repeating the same games over and over if they want to release more mortal kombat games add mortal kombat 4 if they want to add another Pac-Man then add jr Pac-Man if they want to add more Ms Pac-Man games add all of them Ms Pac-Man plus Ms Pac Attack Ms Pac-Man championship edition Ms Pac-Man plus just go on mame 32 all the games are there that would make a perfect Ms Pac-Man if they want teenage mutant ninja turtles add the Simpson make it a 4 game instead of 2

Ive owned almost all of them at one point or another....Top 5 most played cabs at my arcade parties: Star Wars, Golden Axe, Class of 81, Simpsons Bowling, and Golden Tee.....this year Blitz and MVC2 will dominate im sure.

Thanks for the video Fox. I would have to replace TMNT with the Golden Axe cab, though. Yeah, I know it's preference, but the Golden Axe just trumps the TMNT in every category IMHO :) More games, better games (subjective I know), and better artwork. I mean, the TMNT artwork is really goofy with the generic April on there, it makes it look like a Fisher Price toy, sorry to say.

I honestly think MK30th was the best of the year... yes, the monitor is trash, but that's it. It's got the MOST authentic cabinet shape (MvC and SFII variants shouldn't be in Midways cabs), and doesn't have the other, blatant problems. It also wasn't overhyped by the company and launched with incomplete features. Yes, Star Wars is great (still), but its age is starting to show... it's a bit low/small, lacks a coin door, has a bad marquee, and is limited to three games. It's good, but not perfect either.

It’s crazy how so many of us have different views. I rank Star Wars as the 5th worst cabinet from arcade 1up from a game lineup standpoint not accuracy. I think they knocked it out of the park in emulation and gameplay. Just was never a fan of that or Tron for that matter so it has zero appeal to me. My top 5 most played are Mk2 legacy, NFL Blitz, Golden Tee, SF legacy and Centipede

Star Wars looks great, but I found the game play to be incredibly boring. I ended up selling it and bought Defender. Much better games....
