Arcade1up PacMan XL the one cab they got right, then they proceeded to do anything except continue on that path.

We all want Area 51/Maximum Force, and they give us this dual cab that makes no sense…

Has there been any updates on the Unico screen? I was looking into installing this in my Need for speed cabnets

Is that special paint on the walls? Or just black?

19kfox, It's funny, majority maybe, but everything after Atari Star Wars, which came out in 2019, Arcade1Up was exposed for what they really were, a nostalgia cash grab. I gave them their stumbling era with the first cab I bought, the Atari Deluxe 12 in 1, but after Atari Star Wars came out, I thought, FINALLY, this company has improved quality in all essential areas and now we can move forward, doing that to all future cabs. But Arcade1Up didn't move forward that way. Everything was just surface level. Lightup coin doors and riser-less designs won't ever trump good controls, correct sound, picture quality, and the right gameplay. Arcade1Up was more concerned, as seen through their actions, with cutting corners where ever they could, only concerned with profits, and veined listening to the community, treating these wonderful properties just like any other random product. Arcade1Up was a nostalgia grab from the beginning, making us think for a brief moment otherwise with the perfect storm cab, Atari Star Wars. And speaking of the $2,000 cab you mentioned. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of Arcade1Up, the one thing they do get right is the structural quality of their cabinet shell. This is the reason why I got into the hobby and why I'm still in it as I don't want bigger and heaver machines. To this day, I still can't believe Arcade1Up (and others like iiRcade and Unico) were able to take thinner and lighter materials and construct something so sturdy. The $2,000 cab you mention can be made with the same thinner and lighter materials with a robust amount of games at a much cheaper price, just look no further than what iiRcade and Unico did. Arcade1Up already made a cabinet with quality Sanwa controls and a simple lightbox for a lightup marquee and only charged $100 more for the upgrade, their Marvel Super Heroes Limited Edition cabinet at $399. Swap the Sanwa for someone's other preferred control method, be it IL or SUZO HAPP, and Arcade1Up could still do this for an extra $100, maybe $200 with inflation. All they have to do in edition, is put 30 to 50 games on the cabinet and we're good to go. Arcade1Up, along with their licensors, are leaving money on the table by continuing to drip feed the least amount of games onto more superfluous hardware that many of us don't have room to add more, instead of giving us what many of us we REALLY want. I think the $2,000 cab you speak of is an option for some, but I think Arcade1Up would make a mint if they just sold, for example, a Capcom machine with 50 perfectly emulated games (and yes, that would include AVP), with SUZO HAPP controls, great monitor and sound, a lightup marquee, and all in Deluxe, XL, and Riser Edition shells, for a price around $399 to $499. Arcade1Up, from just my observation, has been grasping at the last bits of what people will tolerate from them. Some will get excited at anything new, especially a new IP, but the Arcade1Up heyday for many of us is over. They had years to get it right, way more time than they should've had, and some, like myself, have lost faith due to all the corner cutting. I credit them for me even having a Home Arcade, but they proved they couldn't get it done alone. No matter what happens in the future, I just want to see the community get what they want. Have a great one! vgv

This is basically A1U dipping their toes into the multicade pool. Personally, that is why I have my ALUs. For A1U, i am looking for that nostalgic recreation. But, i get why they would do this. I am only doing XLs from here on out as I love that form factor, but this would be a pass from me.

The 720 cabinet could include other Atari Games from that era. Games like, Toobin, Xybots, Klax..maybe Roadblasters and Blasteroids. Games Like Race Drivin and Vindicators have special controllers that are not on that console.

Way too many great Sega titles deserved a spot on this cab more than Wrestle War. They could opted to go with Alien Storm or Shadow Dancer, something that wouldn't have to change aspect ratios and could still use the three action buttons. It's not worth 550. Granted, Golden Axe is my favorite arcade title, but this is underwhelming at that price point

While the xl combo cab looks dumb if true. I find it funny that my Mortal kombat 3 cabinet I own was turned into a golden tee before I refurbished back into a mortal kombat by acetoning the black spray paint on the sides. Now i like owning the golden tee deluxe and as far as arcade 1up cabinets thats kind of my favorite now outside of star wars for nostalgic reasons

It’s the Tax & Shipping for me that Analogue ain’t selling these out. Total was like $561 versus $500. Big pass at the moment
