This summer was busy. If you are in the middle of building a bike or two, you'll find these tips quite useful...
1: Have a plan and write it down.
Keep a record of what parts you need. Add check boxes that note if the part is ordered, in stock and installed.
2: Work in tandem.
Many steps can be done side by side, two or more bikes at once. You'll have the tools out and calibrated, parts and hardware at your finger tips... save 25% of your build time by multitasking.
3: Get comfortable with alternative solutions.
If a part is out of stock, and there is another part available that does the same thing... What it would take to modify and supplement?
4: Get creative and make the part.
If something is missing and no alternatives exist, it's time to get crafty and make it yourself. There are hundreds of parts to a bike and if one is missing, you can't finish... Don't let this happen
5: Clean up between builds.
Don't be a bozo. Sweep up, put those tools away and give yourself some room. Clean shop for a clear mind.
