Hey man, I didnt wait till tomorrow to binge most of your vids, just banged out probably more then half of the videos. Brother, you have great content and definitely deserve these videos to hit crazy view numbers. I was really surprised at how much you liked powertecs squat machine. That machine comes on the Multi system I was talking about on the instagram message. I was unsure if it was "gimmicky" but it seems ligit. The powertec functional trainer was in the running but if I could only get one of those three (functional, multisystem, levergym) I think alot of the functional trainer stuff can be done with a full set of quality bands.
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! I really appreciate your comment. For a while, I thought I could get away using bands in place of a functional trainer, but ultimately, the functional trainer is a far better option. For the squat machine, I use it as an accessory movement, 3rd or 4th on a leg day…for two reasons, so I don’t have to load it as heavy and I find it to fatigue my hamstrings and glutes more than anything. Of my 3 Powertec leg machines, after having it for a while, it’s in the 3rd place spot. Of course the Compact Leg Sled is 1. Since removing the seat’s adjustment tube, the Leg Press works a lot better for me and it burns up my quads really good. However, I do think the squat machine is the best built of the 3.

I just started late this year building my home gym. I believe after the rack and certain attachments, the next thing I want and need is a functional trainer. @@HomeGymHacksandReviews. You have the best setup i ever seen. My wife would never allow it. I live in a three story townhome while big i really dont have much room for equipment. I have a 8x18 space in my two car garage. 3/4 rubber mats, powertec leverage gym , adjustable dumbells that go to 120lbs, adjustable bench and the powertec leg sled. I have 500lbs rubber coated weights, 7ft bar, and a curl bar. I have a gym 60ft from my door but the dumbells only go to 75lbs. Between the two i am missing nothing. Thanks so much! I almost purchased the Inspire model about a year ago. It looks like a really good piece of equipment. One thing I’m not crazy about is for some exercises like Smith squat, you have to start in the bottom position (if I’m not mistaken). If you’re looking for a smith machine, it’s really hard to beat the IM 2000. 38 lock out points and all the add-ons. The cable system requires some set up, which I show in my reviews, but aside from that, I’d put the smith function of the IM 2000 up there with commercial smith machines. However, the IM 2000 doesn’t give you a Functional Trainer and most people love the Inspire Functional Trainers. At some point, I may try to review one, but I don’t think it will be anytime soon.

Some of my faves are Rogue Kabukki Transformer bar, Rep's Open Trap Bar, love Kleva landmine attachment and their Atlas for lat pulldowns, rows and landmine too and have Trak Fitness's handles which rotate with your movement. I'd love a pair of removable jammer arms for "Hammer Strength" type incline presses and shoulder presses. I use Henny straps for shoulder but can't use for incline. I'm thinking about getting Spud Inc Pillow Belt Squat Belt as one I have kills when over 250lbs and that's the main reason to lift heavy and take back/hips out of it. Appreciate your channel and videos! Kabukki bar is the best front squats are so comfortable and SSB setting you don't even have to drip handles for hatfield squats!

🤣🤣🤣 You sound like me, because I have a pair of sneakers with holes in them. Last week, my little one asked me why my shoes have holes in them. I told him that I spend money buying things he needs, nutritious foods, working on my home gym, and decorating! I am not really into spending a lot of money on buying myself clothes, shoes, etc. My priority is health and nutrition. I am also attempting to just keep my home gym on one side of the garage, but I know that I am going to fail! @@HomeGymHacksandReviews I get it and apologize for coming off sarcastic. I watched your vid because it was the most helpful. I've been training in my home gym for 13 years now, because I can't stand most of the kids in the gym looking at their phones and having no gym etiquette. So, I want to sell everything I have at home and start over. I can only use one of our three car bays and it's made smaller due to built in storage cabinets. I'm looking for a two in one hack squat/leg press. I used to own one back east and sold it when we moved west. I've been training for decades and was a competitive NPC bodybuilder, so my body has been through it. The pain of performing squats vs the benefits are a now a net negative on my hips and knees. Joined a Gold's recently, though it's not like a bodybuilding Gold's in SoCal. Equipment placement makes entirely no sense and I have to walk from one side of this huge space to get something that should be on the other side. I used to design gyms many years ago and poor use of square footage and equipment flow is important to me.

@@stevewise1656 oh no…I didn’t think you were being sarcastic. Great to hear the video was helpful. You’ve got a cool resume as a former competitor and gym designer. I’m with you when it comes to the barbell squat; my lower back just doesn’t like the exercise, which is why I think the Rhino is such a great machine. As for the combo hack / leg press machine, I have never owned one, but I’ve seen a few people pleased with the Force USA, not as many impressed by the Titan. If I was in the market for one, I’d look at the Fettle Fitness, as I’ve been very pleased with that company, but I’ve never seen the machine in use, so I can’t recommend it.

Thanks so much for watching. Check the description in my first Powertec video. I put the tape where the arms make contact with the frame when the plate posts are removed.
