I work for crown lift, I worked for them for about 11 years. You may think it’s just Crowns we work on, maybe for some, but I’m out working on everything. You can definitely make a killing in this industry, it’s definitely a hidden gem. I use to use all no name stuff since I won’t cry over loosing a $1 socket down a dock ramp valley, but I want tools that will last so I’ve been slowing changing over to the bigger name stuff and I am not disappointed in my decision. Good luck out there!

I just got a job at Crown! Starting soon. I’m super excited and seeing that all their openings in my area is because people are moving up, and not out, is a good omen to me.

Definitely recommend looking into Tekton. Located in Michigan, snap-on plus quality, and better warranty for less than half the price. Plus, the 10% credit on purchases directly from them is nothing to sneeze at. I appreciate the recommendations, I work with many of these tools, minus that bottle jack. Definitely like the stubby fuel 18 Milwaukee 3/8 gun over the snap-on. Keep up the great work, brother. 👏🏽

Great video and beautiful tools. I'm pretty sure the matco adjustable wrenches are a rebrand Fujiya, which is a Japanese company

Thank you! Yes, I think that’s what I heard. I mean they are great, but not worth the price off the truck. You can get them way cheaper on Amazon.

The freckin roll pins on the load wheels & casters can be terrible, I hit them 3 times don’t move I bust out the 10lb sledge and power the axle out snapping the roll pins
@theforkliftguy
@theforkliftguy 6 ай бұрын
Yeah a lot of the times you have to just snap the rolls pins and replace them. It is what it is. You have to do what you gotta do to get that axle out.

what I have found works for me is I torch the the area and then I use roll pin punches from snap on and I can usually get them out with much trouble. every now and then I do run into some trouble. I do know that snap on makes some roll pin punches that go on the air hammer. never used them but that's maybe worth a try.

Good video, lots of novel tools I hadn’t considered. I’m an industrial electrician apprentice and full time welder and I’m trying to build out tools for the electrician side and the raptors look nice. Curious how many times you use them per week in your line of work? Seems like they might be a good one for the birthday list.

I use the raptors all the time, literally. Best pliers for the price. I feel like they are my go to pliers for all tasks. Other than needle nose pliers, I go for the raptors.

What brand screwdrivers you use?
@theforkliftguy

Snap on. I have a mix of comfort grips and the old style hard handles. Which are my favorite because they don’t get as dirty.

When you’re working on heavy equipment you need better quality than you can get cheap. I’m a Harbor Freight guy, but their brands have their limits and I tend to find them pretty quick. Not many HF tools have lasted me a year, and that’s when I step up the price.
