My Traffic Lights: Econolite ASC/3-1000

Күн бұрынAnother quick signal update! Sequence is starting to change a bit now that I have installed my Econolite ASC-3/1000 controller. I have new logic programs written to achieve certain sequences that I was running on my Intelight X1. Since this video was taken I’ve switched things up even more and I plan on updating some of my displays, including adding that second 3M signal. Preemption is up and running but I still need to install my optical units.

Gosh your collection is so cool! Loved watching all the flashing arrows too! It surprised me every time you activated the fire and railroad preemption, I love how it operates during preemption!

How this collection has truly grown, i remembered seing the UK crossing button, id you're able to I'd totally see if you could acquire a UK pelican crossing light.

Thanks for watching and seeing this grow! It’s a lot of fun to collect. I do plan on getting a Pelican crossing signal at some point. I’d love to start getting some vintage and newer style signals across different parts of Europe. I’m a big fan of the Swarco Alustar’s too!

I think it's funny how the Tassimco ped kept getting confused ahaha! I guess countdown on walk + non fixed time sequence doesn't add up very well!

No not at all! I set ped overlaps so they can be on walk during all phases. I may remove that feature.

Awesome!!! I have the op manual for the Econolite AS3. I just inherited a unit a few weeks ago. I am trying to re-initialize the controller to the factory default settings and back to the standard quad 8 phase configuration. Any shortcuts on heading to the right menu?

Nice! Yeah to to menu 8: Utilities, submenu 1: Copy/Clear, then scroll all the way down to the next page until you see default database and econolite database. Doesn’t matter which one you choose. Click the dot by pressing “0” and then go to the right to copy it to the controller unit. So you’re copying the default or econolite database to the unit itself. Press enter and then it will proceed to all red and then you’re good to go!

8:24 why the pedestrian signal stayed at walk even though the countdown is completed?

Great video! I have an econolite asc3-1000 as well, but i'm having difficulty finding the software to program it from my computer. I see it has a telnet port open, but there are user accounts already on the device and I cant seem to find a way to reset the accounts. Would you happen to have any advice on that? Thank you!

I know you need to have access to the software Centrac’s. That will allow you to pull and install databases on your controller. You can also use Econolite’s virtual controller to modify your program right on the computer!

You had a special message for your emergency preemption in this video but why did you remove it? I noticed that you still have it for the RR preemption. I am also sure that it thinks that you are an emergency vehicle.

I just have the message set for that particular input. You can modify it depending on the input that’s received.

@@TheTrafficTech I have heard the special message on Polara iNS and EZ navigators for the emergency vehicles in Las Vegas very often.
