Hello My lovelies ,
So when I started using tretinoin, I checked entire internet for the skincare product that I can incorporate into my skincare routine along with tretinoin but, Honesty all the video were by foreigners, non-indians. So, along the way i did many mistakes , then i had to correct those and it took TIME!! Tried that one. Once skin gets used to Tretinoin than I don't really need heavy moisturizer as I have oily skin type. I still from time to time do use bioderma atoderm cream as it's bit more affordable compared to the intensive baume. ❤️

Hyaluronic Acid gives you temporary plumping effect for few hours. Niacinamide works best on pores and minor pigmentation. For finelines I suggest you either try rational or bakuchiol serum.

Use vitamin c serum first, than wait for 2 minutes for it to get absorbed completely than use azelaic acid. As both have very different PH levels

I did use ratinal and ratinol on and off without realising what it does, I didn't have any bad reaction to it. However when I started Tretinoin I could see the glow within 15 days. I'd suggest you start with 0.025 % Tretinoin and start slow. Like apply and take 2 days break. Do that for 1 month than start applying every other day for a month and so on.. also expected purging and pimples in the beginning so please watch lot of Tretinoin purging video before you start so that you are prepared.

Purging is most likely to happen but don't worry if it doesn't happen to you, it only means you're taking enough time to adjust to the cream.

It's a very good chemical exfoliant. People with malasma would love it. It can also be great for uneven skin tone on body due to sun damage or for inner thigh darkness and kojic soap is great alternative for that. I personally have not used kojic acid focused products. A mild exfoliation from Tretinoin and weekly dry brushing for body is sufficient for me so I don't have any personal experience.

i am on 3rd month of tretinoin. can i add azelaic acid also in tretinoin rotinue same like you are using one by one ? and for how much time in week ? or should b applied daily??

If you don’t have any acne issues than don’t add. If you’re having acne issues than wait for some time to see if it’s purging or a reaction. If you still feel like you want to add it, than start by adding it in the morning and and take a break from vitamin c. After 20-30 days you can add azeliac acid in the night like me and restart vitamin c. 💕

In that case. Instead of aziderm try other AHA like lactic or mandalic acids. Ordinary 7% lactic acid is good option to use twice a week and keep tretinoin for 5 nights.

If you haven't opened it yet than I would suggest you keep that aside for future use and start with 0.025 and if you have already open the 0.05 tube that you can use that on body like heels, elbo (stubborn skin thick skin which can tolerate higher doze) and only apply 0.025 on face for atleast 1 year. Start by applying only once a week.

Yes this micellar water works on all sunscreen/makeup. You can use salicylic acid facewash if you're already past your purging phase with Tretinoin. I started including other actives after 1 year of Tretinoin.

If cerave gave you rashes than it's hard to find a cream for you. Usually people with sensitive skin need to avoid fragrance and essential oils, just make sure that any other skin product of yours such as facewash and serum, Sunscreen doesn't have fregrance and EO. If not and if you are still breaking out, try emoleen cream, it has very few ingredients so it has less chance to give you any reaction, and its moisturizing and lightweight and affordable, If it still doesn't work, please go to a doctor. I once had rashes and my reason was stress it had nothing to do with skincare. Take care ✨

Don't apply tretinoin with others active ingredients ( azelic acids, Glycolic acid, vitamin c, etc) only apply good hydrating moisturizer

You can try as it's cheap but Gel version helps people with acne prone skin. May be you're experiencing extra oilyness due to summer. I'd suggest go for matte sunscreen in the morning and aziderm 10% at night + Tretinoin.

Yes Tretinoin will give you purging even if you previous to using it had no acne. This purging is temporary and will last about 3 months Max. However, it your looking to get rid of dark spots that are from pimple, than I think very mild exfoliating Acid like azelaic acid is a good choice bcz it doesn't irritate the skin and can be used twice a day. You can buy aziderm tube of 10% from medical store , if you buy online you'll have to submit prescription. If your dark spots are from sun damage than go for something stronger like Glycolic Acid. I'm not sure about the pore clogging ingredient in cream version but you can try gel version if you want as it's bit cheaper too, however slightly stronger. In my opinion at 3 weeks small pimple is purging and you should just let it continue purging for 4-6 weeks. If the purging doesn't stop you should move to gel version. I'd also suggest you start using aziderm 10% cream in the morning so that the puss from the pimples doesn't infect other areas of the face and also it will help with the red and dark spot left after the pimples. Keep aziderm in the fridge.

Idialy you should increase frequency every 3 week. Untill you can use it daily. After that move to 0.05 only if you've been using Tretinoin for more than a year.

It hasn’t helped , I have finished 1 tube. I bought another one but I will use it after this summer. For now I apply vitamin c serum on lips , than an spf lip balm. This has helped a bit brightening my lips slightly.

@@RUTUMA okay since you apply vitamin c serum on your lips why don't you try minimalist l- ascorbic acid 08% lip treatment balm which is also a vitamin c also review it ,i read review it works in lightening the pigmentation but lips feels dry so many says they apply after a lipbalm after that and it works .i saw this review in the comment section of recent video of shreya jain .i also apply vitamin c serum on my lips and its work,if you try and review the minimalist one it would be really helpful

If you were already on Accutane, you should listen to your dermet for further recovery. A KZfaqr can only misguide you as Accutane works differently on different people. Please do not seek advice from people just your dermet about this.

actually my dermatologist suggested laser or micro treatments, but I'm 17 years old, and I'm afraid my skin might not tolerate them, and my new scars haven't stopped appearing, which is really affecting my confidence. Can you recommend something? Should I continue using tretinoin or invest in some serums, or should I take the risk and go for laser? One more question! I use SPF50 sunscreen, but it's thick, leaves a white cast, and I notice new concerns after applying it. Plzzzz reply!!! Even when I started using 0.05 tretinoin cream I started purging pimples like the hell and I stopped using it, I also use it for pigmentation or soft skin. 0.05 is higher than 0.025. So cream or gel, you should start with 0.025 only, use it for about a year, once you can handle it than move to 0.05. Purging is to be expected initially for 3 to 4 weeks, you can minimise it by doing sandwich method but purging is going to happen.

For oily skin go for gel for dry skin go for cream.

If you’ve already used tretinon for a year or so than you can do it otherwise salicylic acid facewash can be very drying right before tretinoin

It won't help with open pores, it can help with scars. Since you're so young you should wait for 5-6 years to start Tretinoin. Meanwhile you can use niacinamide to minimise pores and alpha-arbutin/lactic acid/kojic acid serum for scars.

Glycolic acid is best for dark spots and malasma. You should use any niacinamide serum or niamax d gel. You can use it daily. AM or PM. If you have blackheads/whiteheads in those open pores than you can also add salicylic acid serum in your routine too. This you can add every alternative day or daily depending on how dry your skin is.

Am i on almost 2 month... I think its purging stage for me... 😔hoping .... I will get a clear skin.... Its almost 2yr i 'm suffering... From acne and marks.... 😔i don't even want to go out of my house... Friends relatives.. Every one looked at my cheeks..whenever i met thwm.. And it hurts.. 😭fed up by giving rplys for their questions.... 😭😭😭... Will it get better?? God plz help me...

Yes it will get better. I had 3 months long purging and the friends who were happy to see me with acne were almost shocked and disheartened that I had better and glass skin afterwords. In my mind I always knew that I'll have glass skin in few months as I was using Tretinoin but it was nice to see who were good friends and who were not😉 This is a blessing in disguise, stay strong, sooner or later something will work. Acne are temporary, life is limited, go outside even if you don't feel like it, enjoy life still. Cause when acne are gone you'll still miss the days and events that you missed due to acne. So try to stay positive ❤️

@@RUTUMA mam🥺 i too have pigmentation on both side of my cheeks ...i think it came after using tretinoin... Purging is reducing day by day but the spots and pigmentation are still there... Next month there is a marriage function of my friend.... All my other friends will came there😔i don't know how to face them.. I have asian skin tone... But before using tretinoin i was using the ordinary niacinamide which really helped me in skin brightning and for pigmentation.. After that i started using tretinoin... Now i came to the initial point with pigmentation.. I bought the niacinamide again.. now using it alternate days... And also along with tretinoin days... In day time im using kojic acid... I don't know will it work and every time looking at the mirror I'm getting mad... And crying😭 . i don't have much time there is only 14 days left for the marriage.. Could u plz help me... What to do.. Shall i stop tretinoin for two week and use only niacinamide and then after marriage continue tretinoin Or Follow the alternate day method? Plz rply mam🙏🏻

Hey you can continue to use niacinamide along with Tretinoin or niacinamide during the day and Tretinoin at night. I think the best routine for you would be to use vitamin c + azelaic acid+ sunscreen in the morning and niacinamide+ Tretinoin+ moisturizer at night for 5 days a week and for rest of the 2 days just sunscreen in the morning and lactic acid at night. Don't worry about marriage functions, there will be more events that you will attend in the future and not all events are supposed to be memorable.. you'll have more happy events in life it's okay if 1 event is occurring when you don't feel the best about yourself. Time changes things. You'll have gorgeous gorgeous skin soon. Have faith. Do research according to your skin type and try to ignore negative people+ comments. The goal is to feel beautiful and happy not look beautiful and happy ❤️

Mam my purging is almostly reduced but redness pigmentation small bumps on cheeks are increasing..Is it normal.. When ever i use ordinary niacinamide serum it gave me more bumps.. So i stopped it, also bought vitamin c serum as u recommended for me.. But it too made pimples again😔so i stopped that too and now using salicylic 1% gel in mrng... How to get rid of this redness and pigmentation mam... I can't identify whether it is pigmenation or redness... Its like a large mark on cheeks where i had acne earlier. I saw some reviews of pauls choice 2% salicylic acid... But I'm confused.. To buy or not? If i bought that can i use it on alternate nights of tretinoin ?... 😔or should keep waiting for tretinoin.. Use it alone with moisturizwr everyday?

Once you are past your "purging" stage and already accustomed to Tretinoin thn you can start introducing all the other active ingredients in your skincare routine along with you Tretinoin. Start slow.

Usually doctor’s prescribe tretinon for acne so it might help. But I started for anti aging purposes, I can’t speak on acne issue. However when I got tretinon purging (acne) the aziderm tube helped. So try that one first may be. Thank you for watching 💕

You don't need to use Tretinoin for anti-aging purpose until you're 25. If you want you use it for acne than I would suggest you talk to a dermatologist as only Tretinoin won't fix that issue.

I am in week 3 but my skin didn't purge (except for 3 red acne after 3rd use which maybe hormonal) even though I have acne prone skin. Why is this so.?

That's good! I didn't purge initially just like you so I got cocky and started 0.05 after 1.5 month.. terrible purging.. I had to go back to 0.025 and I still have some red spots from acne purge of 0.05.. So its nice that you didn't purge but still increase the application and concentration slowly and gradually.

What happened to me just like it happened to you with tretinoin, I just stopped using it after 14 days, I got very dark red skin with brown patches, I got so many acne pimples which I didn’t has, still couldn’t recover 100% seriously seems lost something important, I would suggest not to use chemicals to look good at age 50, better enjoy your youth, natural ingredients like aloevera Multani and whitening creams are much better I guess, these chemicals are for those who have severe skin infection problems

Yes, Tretinoin is best for smooth skin. However to make it more effective id suggest you use 10% azelaic acid cream with it. Ofcourse you'd have to wait to add azelaic Acid untill you're skin is already comfortable with Tretinoin first.

Tretinoin will give you purging after sometime but yes still you can use azelaic acid in the morning and tret at night even with or without purging. Azelaic will help minimise the spreading of acne/purging and remove acne marks in a mild gentle manner. But when you have purging the azelaic acid can feel very irritating to the skin, I used to put azelaic acid cream in fridge so it felt cooling and less irritating. Sunscreen is MUST. Purging or no purging sunscreen is must.

I have been using retinol 0.1% for 1 month now,every 3rd night....m going to get married in the last week of oct....now m confused and scared if purging stage will get passed by that tym as m having so many little bumps or pimples on my cheeks after using it and skin texture looking bad...m confused if i should jump into tretinoin 0.025 for fast purging or continue with retinol or just stop this routine??plz help m so confused .

Stop immediately. Even if purging stops, you’ll still have acne marks in October. So start after marriage and and start with 0.025 % and for now, use vitamin c serum & Aziderm (azelic acid) 10% cream in the morning and niacinamide serum plus Aziderm at night. So that your skin doesn’t have any more acne once you stop tretinon.

Lakshita! A fellow Army 💜 who's your bias? Btw Tretinoin does help with acne and 17 year old can use it. But if not used properly than it can worsen your skin so I'd advise you talk to a dermatologist before starting. Start slow, once a week than twice, increase it gradually. 💕

That might be bcz you aren't using sunscreen. Tretinoin helps remove dead skin from your face faster so you'll have this new fresh skin and it is going to be more prone to sun. Please use sunscreen everyday of you're going to use Tretinoin.
