I think he's a bit young for that. Kids that age are still into Santa and have imaginary friends and stuff. They can't really tell reality from fantasy at that age. Let's not shatter children's illusions. He will learn soon enough as he develops cognitively.

Why? If anything this behaviour became destructive and completely the opposite of adorable. And the parents just stood by and let it happen rather than growing a pair and tackling the problem.

You are not alone sweet one. I see so much of this as a member of the BigSisters program. I would highly suggest going to a local soup kitchen or homeless community. The personal interaction there can help you get over those communication bumps. If that is too much for you, I suggest joining a bird watching group or find a hobby that includes being around small numbers of people. It takes time but you can learn even later in life and carry on.

I find that’s the case for a lot of people your age. They’re all extremely socially awkward I believe from growing up online and having minimal real world interactions. I have many cousins from diff families that are under 20 and they’re so socially awkward that they can’t even say hi back to me whenever I say hi. They just awkwardly look away and stay silent. Another thing I noticed was most of them love anime too. I’m 29 so I grew up with internet too but my generation wasn’t constantly online 24/7 like todays youth. Actually 1 if my 5 siblings did grow up addicted to the comp and online games and he’s also socially awkward, never had a gf and he’s 40. So when I have kids I’m not going to let them grow up on the internet. Parents today don’t know the negative effects of doing that since all this was realized relatively recently but I’m hoping now that most of us know this now, we can prevent it from happening with our own children

@@emersonhawks spoiling definitely does exist! But the issue is more that there's no boundaries or set consequences for bad behavior. If you use behavioral modification techniques and they work, then the problem is solved. If none of that works then you have to look at other medical issues that could be occurring.

It does but a well-trained CPS worker can see through the BS. My mom was one my whole life.

Yes, I agree! It's called trichotillomania and is a compulsion disorder, affecting adults as well as children. I suffered from this as a kid. It's not done to manipulate anyone. It's like OCD and sometimes requires medication and/or therapy. It's a way to relieve anxiety. If your child has this, please don't look at it as a behavioral issue, but take your child to a pediatrician or therapist. They are a lot of treatments available these days.

@@xShirubiax No he is not. He knows exactly that when something bad would happen we are there for him. But he also knows that there are sort of behaviors that are not accepable and have consequencies.

That kid is only six and in a couple years will be bigger than her. Then imagine how the violence is going to be. Being violent is not the response to a violent child. This is the worst advice a parent could take. It's also called abuse.

The one that gets me is that they use the word homely to describe a home that's comfortable and inviting whereas in the United States that's another word for unattractive 😳
