My Vitriol - Live at the Rock Am Ring, Germany June 1st 2001. Recorded using a Humax Digital Satellite receiver, IXOS Scart leads connected to a JVC SVHS recorder. Recorded on brand new EMTEC SXG tape at SP. My Vitriol are a British alternative rock band, formed in 1999 in London. The band currently comprises singer and guitarist Som Wardner, drummer Ravi Kesavaram, guitarist Seth Taylor and bassist Tatia Starkey. The band had success with their debut album Finelines in 2001, which spawned three top-40 hit singles on the UK Singles Chart, before announcing a hiatus in 2002. The band were credited as spearheading a new shoegazing movement, dubbed nu gaze. They released new material in 2007, and released limited fanbase album The Secret Sessions in October 2016. The band name is taken from the Graham Greene novel Brighton Rock.

In case anyone is wondering, Fine Lines came out in 2001. There were a couple of EPs released in 2007 which had a couple of new tracks and in 2016 they released the Secret Sessions which has 9 "new" songs on it (which is the closest thing we have had to a follow up record.) This band, for whatever reason, released an incredible first record and didn't capitalise on their success. Given what's popular in the charts today, I don't see this band resurfacing with another album. Great band, maybe they just didn't want it enough.

This band is awesome... they had a few UK top. 40 hits around 2000/2001 time.... and i think finelines remains their only studio album release around 2001, might've had a special edition 2002.... but very one off band. Awesome upload. Use to listen to them when i was younger

Are we sure this is from Rock am Ring? I'm thinking this is from Rock im Park. I saw them at Rock am Ring June 1st 2001, and that gig was definitely played outside in the daytime. This looks like it was played inside a venue and it is dark 🤔
