JD, Great videos. Don't change. Back in the day (as your are aware) we dove with double hose regulators. Those reside in boxes in basements. A few intrepid folks have attempted to take these old relics and modernize them. An interesting project would be to take maybe an old 7 jewel relic. Maybe "modernize" it. Put in an incabloc jewel set. Re lume..... Try a crazy project. Showcase the tools and techniques. You will have to change your address so the classical watch enthusiasts can't show up at your door step with torches and pitch forks. All the best!

Yeah, I do remember the double hose regulators. I have a Jacques Cousteau regulator that I use for years. I would do a crazy project, if I didn’t have a backlog of customer pocket watches and watches to take care of. If it’s just me fixing my watches then yeah I think I could make some pretty impressive videos. Perhaps I’ll mix that in the next year. Please no pitchfork at my door.

How about a video on what to look for if you are interested in buying a lathe?

I can do that video, and will.

You have very good videos (my favorite ones are where you explain tools like the lathe among many others), specially for beginners, but I think the channel is very difficult to follow, you have around 1300 videos, its impossible to find something like that, even with the playlists that you have is very difficult, organizing all of this will help a lot. I would suggest to move all the videos not related to watch repair to a different channel entirely, this will stream line your channel and will allow people visiting it by the name not loosing focus. This way you can capitalize in your previous videos better.

I actually agree. Not sure how to move the videos to another channel. I will however look this up. My wife has actually made the same comment.

For me the videos are fine as they are JD. More lathe stuff would be great though.

I tune in your videos because you don't edit anything- when I am attempting to learn something the worse thing anyone can do is skip across a section of the repair- Stay the course and keep doing what you've been doing over the years- I personally don't like change especially when it's done only for change sake- I have no problem with your theme music either so why wouldn't you include it at the beginning of your videos? Remember that old saying- Build it and they will come so relax and enjoy the ride ;)

Acknowledged and thanks for the kind words. I think I will continue with my formula

@@JDRichard I forgot to mention that your sense of humour while doing stressful work is also an asset to your channel. It's very similar to mine so how can I not like it ;)
