This film had to be made. Paul actually had this idea of Dom betraying the team and how they would respond. Vin I think said that if 7 was "for Paul", this was "from Paul". In terms of the insanity of this franchise, it's such a fun ride when you are watching it for pure enjoyment.

After F7 gave us so much, we all wondered what to expect from F8. I liked that F8 was more of an unpredictable story. You never would have guessed, that family would be broken. Dom's betrayal, Hobbs leading Dom's crew against him, bringing Deckard Shaw into the mix and facing off against a new, formidable villain Cypher (Theron on point) was complete mayhem. The action, humor, suspense and the biggest piece of the story being "Dom's a Father" blew me away. To reinterate on the action. these stunts and sequences were among the best ever made. Bump the disbelief or overkill of it all, this was all worth the price of admission. F. Gary Gray directed Friday (1995), Set It Off (1996), The Negotiator (1998) and Straight Outta Compton (2015). He directed 2 films in 2003, "A Man Apart" with Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron & Jason Statham in the remake of "The Italian Job". F8 was the biggest film that Gray ever made in terms of budget and scale. Diesel & Johnson's partnership started to fall out during the making of F8. Surprisingly, It was more of a professional one more than personal. They rarely appeared on screen together because of that. Johnson & Statham get more screen time together in this one and it was a good build for the upcoming Hobbs & Shaw spinoff. The saga still at it's peak.

I’ve been watching your videos for about two years now and as a F&F fan I was excited when y’all started watching these movies. Through out the reactions it seems that Jen loves Hans character. If that’s the case then there’s a movie called Better Luck Tomorrow that’s canon to the F&F franchise. It’s Hans “origin story” before he meets Dom. Justin Lin the director of Tokyo Drift,4,5,6,9 and a little bit of Fast X also directed better luck tomorrow. When he started directing Tokyo Drift he brought Han from BLT to F&F and later stated that both Hans are the same character.

So the scene where they take over the cars is not far fetch. In 2016 A hacker wirelessly hacked a Chrysler product through the radio. Since it was connected to the other modules on the vehicles communication network, they were able to disable and pull the vehicle over on the highway. This next part is more of history for Automotive Diagnosticians like me. Shortly after Chrysler implemented what is called a secure gateway module that basically kept anyone without the credentials from doing anything other than reading and erasing codes in say the Engine Control Module. SO if you are wondering why prices are going up to look at you newer vehicle that is why. It cost me more money every year to be able to even talk to these vehicles, in order to figure out what is wrong with them.

It makes perfect sense as to why they hacked into all those cars, but not hack the limo. Terrorists have a flare for the dramatic, as they create total chaos and destruction in their wake, hence the flash mob of cars wrecking New York and piling all around the limo. On a side note, the limo’s also possibly an older model, meaning there’s no computer to hack into.

If you saw the trailer, Dom's betrayal was the MAIN focus of it and everyone was so confused and wanted to know why he would do it. I do think a lot of the fans kinda checked out after Furious 7 since it's such a great finale for the series, but that major twist in the trailer got a lot more people back on the hook again. That kinda explains why it grossed so much money compared to the others from the series as it a great way to tempt the fans of Furious 7. 7 & 8 are the only ones to make over $1 billion, the others still make a ton of money, but not at the level of those 2.
@HeatKingMedia

I think 5-7 were the best ones in terms of the action and family dyanmic. 8 is where it kinda starts to go downhill. You really feel the empty space left by Paul. After all, Paul and Dom were the Fast and Furious. With 8 it seeme they tried to move that dynamic aspect onto Shaw and Hobbs as the new duo and it works surprisingly well. I just think the story element with Dom as a badguy wasn't handled as well. We didn't really get a fight scene between him vs Shaw or even Hobbs again. This film basically came out in a time where every movie was releasing that one film where the main hero is an enemy. We had Civil War, BVS, Transformers The Last Knight. And then there was this. I think the reasons for why he turns bad was done well but poor Elena. She just kept getting shafted in this franchise sadly after 5. I don't think 8 is terrible but its just not as good. 9 is hands down the worse one in my opinion. 10 brought it back down to some level similar to 5 and 6 for me. But overall its a fun franchise.

I knew that Y'all would especially Enjoy this one: the Introduction of Dom's Son ("Little Brian") always grabs the Hearts of Parents!💕No matter what anybody else Thinks or Says against this one, I think that it's one of the Best (almost Perfect) Sequels that they have ever done!👍 Both "Hobbs & Shaw" and "F9" are 2 of the Messiest Movies that have ever been made, but...I do Enjoy one way-more than the other. Get through those and I Promise that "Fast X" is going to blow both of Y'all away! ❤‍🔥👌

Well you have two camps of fans for this franchise. You have the ones that enjoy the actual racing and somewhat grounded in reality while the others love it all, the entire evolution of it. We love the ridiculousness, it’s fun to see where they take it next, we love the crazy action.

Jason Statham has done quite a few comedies. His first movie was a comedy as well.

Yeah I saw Jason Statham first in a serious role The Transporter. Then I Was weirded out when he was in a funny movie but realized he was GREAT at it and now I can’t see him in any serious role anymore 😂

"3 Spiderman references in one video" Well, here's another. That scene (where Cipher hacks all of the cars and they have the big chase though the city) was filmed in Cleveland, Oh. They also filmed the Armored Car robbery scene from Spider-Man 3 (Rami trilogy) there (along with scenes from the first Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier)

I’m not sure on this but I think I remember reading somewhere that this movie was the first or one of the very first movies to film in Cuba once the embargo on them was lifted

Watching this reaction reminded me how much fun this movie is! It’s probably one of the my favorites in the franchise. RIP Paul Walker.

Speaking of Jason Statham and comedy, he wasn't the main character but him in Spy made me cry laughing
