YASMIN, Tyquan and Cieara from Atlanta became a throuple after Tyquan was open about cheating on Yasmin with Cieara. Yasmin and Tyquan have been together since 2012. The couple were madly in love, but Yasmin admits that Tyquan had a huge issue with infidelity and cheated on Yasmin several times with different women. However it was different with Cieara, Yasmin said: “When I found out, I was bothered by it, I asked him to stop. And when he didn’t stop I felt it was something more serious and I can look into it." Yasmin decided to invite Cieara into their relationship and arranged the first meeting. The throuple decided to make a go of it as a three and not long after joining the relationship, Cieara fell pregnant with Tyquan’s child. The polyamorous throuple now all live under one roof with eight children between them. They have received huge backlash from their friends and family with people saying: “they must have low self-esteem”. Some of Yasmin’s closest friends couldn’t get their head around it and felt there was a huge lack of respect between the throuple and felt that Cieara was coming between them. The throuple believe “you can miss out of a lot of things if you’re not open minded” and are now happily married.

She did say that she had previously said that she was open to it. Also, to me, she doesn't seem like the type to just settle for this because she didn't want to lose her partner or have to start over. Living in a throuple is much more rebelious and defiant of social norms than just upping and leaving. I wouldn't discount her agency and will in this. Now, would I do it? Absolutely not. But do I judge them when I don't know the ins and outs of their situation and their level of satisfaction of life just because their way of life wouldn't work for me? Also, no.

You can’t convince me that happiness dwells in a household where 5 older boys are sharing a room with nothing but some bunk beds and a small tv that can only be utilized one at a time. Those children are old enough for all parents to work. And even if someone stayed home with the smallest child, it’s still two more able bodied adults available to work. Plants don't select, but female animals do. How many female animals can you think of that select and mate with undesirable males? Does the losing buck get to mate after the fight? Unsolicited advice: If you're thinking about doing this please vet the outside partner. My 25 year old son and his 25 year old wife have been together since middle school and are poly. It took some bad times to figure out what works for them and who will work for them. Now 2 kids are involved so they don't have a partner so they can male sure their kids come first before choosing someone who fits. Good Luck

I am monogamous but I have nothing against poly relationships so long as everyone involved is on the same page and agreement on how the relationship is to be. This guy kinda annoyed me though. Yes, everyone makes mistakes and poor decisions but being young is no excuse to cheat. I got with my partner when I was twenty and I've just recently turned 27. I have been with no one else but him since we started dating. It is not difficult to remain faithful if you're truly committed to someone.

But being young is definitely an excuse for a lot of things. Simply because you are not mature. Yes, some youngsters are raised with more discipline but that doesn’t mean they’ll even always maintain that discipline. Allow people to make mistakes, especially youngsters. Remember, your brain is not even fully developed until 25. And you have people who are 30 still struggling at life and don’t know who they are. Some people mature later and that’s ok. Doesn’t mean you have to be with them, but definitely don’t think you’re better because you excel in an area where someone else is flawed. No one is perfect.

He is a jerk. He cheated his way into a marriage with 2 women. It was once monogamous and he is the one that went and got with another woman. She agreed to the foolishness just because she didn't want to be single.

I am involved in a polyamorous relationship. This is something we talked about in the beginning stages and we both have the option to date other people. However in this specific type of situation i wouldn't tolerate it. I believe these women do have low self esteem because its not what they initially signed up for.

If they happy I don't see a problem with it as long as nobody not being mistreated or harm the kids are good and understanding of it it is what it is. Me personally I don't like to be shared and don't want to share what belongs to me but to each his own
