James Christopher Gaffigan is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer. He presently has 5 stand up specials on Netflix and 2 on Amazon Prime Video. He wrote 2 New York Times Best Sellers Dad Is Fat (2013) and Food: A Love Story (2014) He co-created and starred in a tv series based on his life called The Jim Gaffigan Show. He has appeared in numerous TV shows and films in both comedic and dramatic roles.

No offense, but how's she a victim? Hopefully all is good of course, but I don't really see people who suffer from a disease they likely caused themselves as victims. Unless of course it's say from exposure at work to a hidden carcinogen. Ah, I'm just being silly though. Peace

My brother wasn’t so fortunate. He had it removed but it came back twice and he didn’t make it, but he did a couple of extra years. I’m glad your wife came out on top Jim!

Thank you for your humor. I have inoperable brain tumor because of location and have had radiation treatment. It is not growing but could at any time. It’s always on my mind. No pun intended so it always helps to laugh about the uncontrollable. Thanks again!

Your standup helped me get through the long months of dealing with breast cancer last year. Seriously! I had you on while I went through chemotherapy, and had to close my hospital room door because I was laughing so loud. As you can imagine, not a lot of laughter at the cancer clinic, but I much prefer laughter over tears, so thank you. Got the “all clear” December 14, and I’m so glad your wife is better, too.

Jazzbuh brain tumors are pretty messed up (I hold 2 degrees on psych), but that is his job. Your observation points out his genius, and the gift of family support. He loves, and is loved by well-rounded, loving people. That is medicine #1, for her, and for them all.

Man, Jim Gaffigan has become one of my all time favorite comedians. He is easily right up there with the greatest comics of all time! It's not just the hilarious jokes and stories, it's also his timing and manner of delivery which is only unique to to him. If I'm having a crappy day, I watch 5-minutes from any one of his sets, and I am back to normal!

I have trouble getting to sleep, and I watch Gaffigan show almost every night. I still laugh out loud even though I’ve memorized most of them.

Both my parents have died from cancer, so I have spent so much time in hospitals and talking with surgeons and this really made me laugh while also making me feel good about you paying respect to medical professionals. Hot pocket.

I had to have a hysterectomy due to a grapefruit size growth, an endometriosis. I convinced myself it would be cool because my abdomine would reduce in size when they remove a grapefruit. After the surgery and subsequent puking. I looked at my belly and thought...LIAR!!!!

I had a malignant ovarian cyst the size of a grapefruit 15 years ago. Never put much thought into it but it’s so true that doctors compare tumors to fruits lol. He told me “size of a grapefruit and since it’s larger than 15 cm we have to operate” A little humor is always good to go through any difficult situation. After three rounds of chemo, I would definitely take laughter for medicine. Haha

I just had my right temporal lobe removed for my epilepsy in mid December. I know that’s entirely different from a tumor, but neurosurgery/medical humor are exactly what I needed to hear right now. Thanks for the laughs Jim!😂

My meningioma was diagnosed the same year as Jeanie's treatment. It was a terrifying big deal, but Jeanie... you're an inspiration. Finding this video hit home, but hysterically. My wife has brain surgery too. This happened before I met her, but the side effects of it are still with her to this day. I'm grateful Jim can help bring some humor to the subject 🙂

Kim Marie Faber I’m really sorry yours is inoperable. It’s not something to joke about. The medicine you take to slow it or try to decrease it will do a number on your body and sometimes personality. It did to my husband. With that, you do start to make jokes, otherwise you’ll go insane from the stress and grief around you. Some days I ask for it to be put back in so I can have 5 minutes of no talking! Hehe I am very thankful to have my husband back though!

Really needed this laugh!! I had radiation for a brain tumor on January 28th!! Being able to laugh about it, makes it bearable!! Oh, I was told mine was the size of a marble!! Lol

Having worked for surgery and Trauma Services I jokingly mentioned to my ophthalmologist prior to having Lasik eye surgery, that you never want to hear a doctor say, "well or oops", after surgery. He didn't laugh and the first thing he said after 45 minutes of surgery on my right eye was "Well,...." 🤦

Sometimes hospitals mess up drastically. I went in their one time for unknown symptoms, and they labeled every disease and condition known to man. The nurse looked at my chart and said I'm a brave survivor for fighting hard. Confusion struck and we found out the doctors labeled me basically at death's door.

It's really true that doctors "dumb down" things for us lay ppl. My grandma had a uterine tumor the size of a brick. I have a bone spur the size of a sugar cube in my spine.

You can relax Jim, I subscribed months ago. Just so you know, I can no longer watch your videos when I have trouble sleeping in the middle of the night. Not that you’re scary or anything, but the neighbors call the police when they hear me laughing hysterically at 3am.

I'm thankful for this, I had surgery for massive toma removed( cancer ) in the abdomen, which has been life altering and humor helps .

It is this type of humor that makes it possible to deal with all the people out there who use and abuse animals. If I weren't laffing, I'd be crying.
