my XE falcon finally hits the DYNO

4 жыл бұрынafter having the new engine in the falcon for about 6 months now it was time for it to hit the dyno, tuned by Trent at Chequered Tuning it finished on 274kw/365hp at the wheels which was a big surprise to me with such a mild engine

I remember this for sale awesome looking car, I posted it to my Facebook page 80s & 90s Ford's and holdens..awesome to see a factory style S-pac with a built v8 driveline... 80s v8 Ford's are so underrated... I had a 351 XF for over 15yrs ..love the VN to il be watching for updates

@@MindieJ The club I'm in would have not permitted it on H plates, M would be Ok. Bit surprising the RWC went ok. Was this put onto CPS before the changes were made to club rules?

@@MindieJ If thats the case, be very carefully, if your stopped on the road, things might get ugly for you. Once your on H plates you are not allowed to modify it from then on. I have an XP ute on M plates, it was RWC and approved by an engineer, but i cant change it without going through the process again. Be careful what you do, I do like the XE, autos arent my thing, but I can see you've put some effort into it.

Hey mate! Did they make any significant changes to jetting/squirter to get it to sing true? Have you seen much improvement in economy since the tune? Its a cracking combo with great power the wheels! Love your VN too dude 👍

i didnt have it dyno'd before hand so couldnt say, driveability was a shitload better though

What was the issue with the belt jumping ? I hope you now have a basic standard tool set packed in your XE , including electric air pump and tyre repair kit. My air pump is a 12 V IRONAIR from Total Tools $79, does great job without over heating or vibrating its head off. Love your work .

@@MindieJ I'm loving how mild you keep referring it to. It has a cam so large you'd usually want 3-4k stall. It's a size you won't usually even find in a hydraulic grind for anything but a Cleveland 😂😂 I couldn't call anything with almost 250 degrees @.050 mild .

351 cleveland, flat top pistons, stock rods and crank, 10.8:1 comp, crow cam, hand ported 2V heads, edelbrock manifold and a 650 holley

@@MindieJ nice! You know the cam specs? I've got similar in my xd but with afd2v heads through an auto with 3k stall hasn't been on the dyno yet.
