I cycle my carbs for larger lift days, the bigger the body part the more energy I need in the gym. Those would be my leg chest and back days, lower carbs on shoulders and rest days. Now once a week or so i participate in a sport activity that is very demanding physically so I need a lot of energy thoughout that day so I'll eat moderate carbs, low fats, throughout the day. i get all my cardio for the week on that day because Im going full tilt for 8 hours. Im not sure if this is the "right" way but it works for me to this point.

@@drroidhammer3218 also Jay mentions he loses like 8 pounds everytime he wakes up in the morning from the weight he is before he goes to bed, he ha a metabolism to where he's always behind so if he doesnt eat he'll shrink, Manfred Hoeberl used to say the same thing when he was 2nd in the Worlds Strongest man in 94 i think it was where if he didnt get at least 6000 calories a day he'd just shrink. sometimes you literally do get a metabolism boost from every meal so eating 12 meals a day you end up leaner then if you ate the same amount but in 3 meals. i tested it, couldnt maintain the amount of meals i tested the theory with though at 15 a day of solid 400g total pre packed meals

The only thing he left out was use a bmr calculator to find your calories =370+(9.82 x LBM in pounds) then multiply your activity multiplier and subtract 500-1000 calories to lose. This is the first time jay actually isn’t vague about dieting. It’s nice after buying his books and never getting any advice except for what lifts to do. As he said, most bodybuilders don’t know how to diet anymore and hire diet gurus. Nice he stopped ripping people off. Keep up the honest work.....

This is not going against Big Jays workout plan in any way but i never understood how people can work on their back a day after killing biceps. The biceps are sore the next day and back requires some bicep action and gives them a pump even with the correct form. Isn't this a risk for damaging the biceps? If it works for people then fantastic.

@jamesapt66
@jamesapt66 5 жыл бұрын
Yes everyday the same amount of cals,,,,,,the reason being is this, if you're trying to put on mass then that means you're in a caloric surplus. The fact that these cals are either coming from carbs or protein doesn't matter, you still have to fulfill that surplus. If you go low carbs on off days your protein has to obviously go up to fulfill your surplus of calories.
