Before bizarrely claiming that Alen Stajcic was doing a good job with the Pinoys, remember that Australia faces completely different type of opponents, unlike the Philippines, which could not even overcome Costa Rica, leave alone Denmark and Norway. Personally, I think Tony Gustavsson, a typical Nordic man, will do well with Matildas.

He has been an absolute disaster so far. The girls were flying high when Staj was there and everything disintegrated from the moment FA got rid of him.

@@davidbowie5023 Staj should never have been sacked. The Matildas have been leaking large numbers of goals ever since that happened for as yet still undisclosed reasons. They are still a mess defensively. The results under Gustavson have been dreadful. I can't believe he has been kept on for as long as he has because in any other team/country he would have been sacked a long time ago.

Again defensively terrible , some Matildas players in defence should not be there too old and no idea , how many times have we seen a goal against in the first couple minutes . The rest of the team is going well , its good to see more shots being taken on goal with results . Defence is a huge part of this game . Still do not think this coach is the right person for the job.

yep that was a horrendous display of goal keeping, the second and third goals were extremely soft. The goal keeper looks like she was 5ft tall. Surely they can find a 5'8" tall gymnast or basketballer and make her the GK
