The German team still has a lot of homework to do before they go to Paris. Spain is clearly on a higher level, and Germany is no longer France's "Angstgegner". I would suggest to do a rematch of the Euro 2022 final (a friendly against the Lionesses) and a test game against the losing team of Zambia-Morocco (the winner qualifies for the Olympics).

@d2bt8tt1n Flemish & the Catholics, they do not like each other, too. Belgium is Spanish Netherlands. What do You expect? In Germany we like Dominique Janssen, the Madonna-face. She played very well. And we always support, different from men's football, the Orange meisjes against any other team than Germany.

@d2bt8tt1n No, it is local rivalry like Frankfurt against Offenbach. Or Bayern Munich against 1860 München. If Switzerland, the Netherlands or the Austrians play not against Germany, I support them & be happy, if they play well & win. When the pretty Oranjes won against the ugly housecats from the island, I made a party.

@@gdionwoodit was a game of two halves, firstt half france dominated them and capitalized on their chances to take the lead. Second half germany was better but they weren't as clinical as france. Very equal match, the more clinical team won

Defense: Stefanie van der Gragt is missed (she retired). The German team has Hendrich and Hegering. Spitse is too slow. Do Janssen was quite good. Of course, she plays for Wolfsburg and knows how the German patterns are. Attack: Mr. Jonker had plenty of choice. Why substitute so late? Why not Romée Leuchter? Chasity Grant? Jill Baijings? The latter plays for Bayern Munich.

FIFA need to look at the Olympic qualfying routes. Six of the teams ranked in the top ten are in Europe. Another five are ranked 10-20. Yet there are only two spots offered to European teams, who have to play each other to get them. No other regional qualification route is as tough. The Olympics will not be featuring the best teams in the world, but the best team from each continent.

Fully agree - 4 more teams from Europe and make it a 16 nation tourney. Olympic football should have the best teams from the world and not from each continent.

Six games in a two-week timeframe (one prefers not to start before the opening ceremony). National leagues usually start only 2-3 weeks after the Olympics. Given all those knee and ACL injuries, will this load be a bit too much? At the Euros, they play six games in a four-week timeframe.

Ahh that was finally the Germany we all like. Attack-minded and determined to win. Not sure whether it was the clever move of playing Popp in midfield once Schueller came on for Lohmann. Or Buehl, Oberdorf and Brand realizing it would be good to go to the Olympics not as spectators. Or the Pancakes for Paris event they had at the team camp the morning of the game, according to the German commentators. But it has worked 🎉

les Allemandes ont des joueuses remarquables , Alexandra Pop , a un merveilleux jeu de tête et des déplacements prodigieux , Fuller s'est révélée une attaquante de classe mondiale , le jeu collectif de cette équipe est supérieur à celui de la France qui a eu le mérite de gagner en demi finale . l'Allemagne a en OBERDOFF sa massacreuse genre MBOMMEL , c'est un aspect que je trouve regrettable , mais confére une solidité défensive . leur victoire face au danemark est méritée .

What a fantastic performance by Die Frauen NationallMannschaft! to win against holland in holland it really doesnt get any better than that ! and whats more we're on our way to Paris in the summer! I said on Friday after germany's unlucky loss to France that we'd win in Holland the result and outcome were never in doubt Another moment of Joy and happiness for all Germany fans! In the match itself the Dutch were outplayed , outclassed , and outdone in every way ! Klara Buhl and Lea Schuller were the scoring heroes of the hour but it was an all round great performance! by the best team in the world 🖤❤🧡🖤❤💛🖤❤💛🖤❤💛🥰😍😀😃🤩🙂

well, if you take off your rose tinted glasses you'll realize that today's performance was far from fantastic. THE dutch team was pretty poor and until min. 55. to 60 the German play lacked focus and concentration. There's a lot of work for Horst to reinstall the self confidence that's lacking underneath. Several weeks ago the match vs. Danmark was very good but still no as good, not being ind the flow . However on that evening in Rostock the team was able compensate by sheer will power and a strong team spirit. But they'll need to tap into that flow in order to beat teams like Spain, France, England perhaps Mexiko and Brasil.

Only 12 teams, and each continent must be represented. Those are the IOC rules. IOC wants it to be a world sport, not Europe vs. the rest of the world. So yes, we will have New Zealand instead of England. If the tournament were to have 16 teams (like the men's game), we would also have England, Sweden, the Netherlands (three additional European teams) and South Korea or China (non-European team). However, if I look up the 10 qualified teams in the FIFA ranking, I get 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 23, 30. So eight of the top 12 teams will be there. Not that bad.

The Dutch better acknowledge that their prime is over for the time being. They've been kind of ignorant of this very fact. They only got this far by quite luckily succeeding with their hand over hand approach. Their football has become unrecognizable and unattractive.

Der realistischere Vergleich wäre wohl Bezirksklasse zu Kreisliga. Spanien ist mit Abstand die beste Mannschaft und ausser Reichweite. Gegen Frankreich haben Deutschland`s Frauen durchaus die Chance zu gewinnen..

niemand ist ausser reichweite. em2022 deutschland - spanien 2 : 0 und das verdient. noch schlimmer spanien - japan 0 : 4 gruppenspiel wm 2023 und das war eine regelrechte demuetigung. das ist ja das schoene am fussball, man kann es nicht vorausberechnen.
