My father worked for a construction company and his company vehicle was almost always a Dodge 1/2 ton. Seeing the clip of the truck driving onto the job site made me smile.

Tough trucks. There weren't many around my hometown growing up in the 70s. But the few that were, outlasted everything else.

Awesome video. These trucks are so basic yet so classy compared to the over-teched crap being sold today. I wish I was old enough to have bought one of these new. At least I own a couple 78s now.

I have a 1978 D-150! I missed a white 1972 that I wanted to go with my 1972 New Yorker... both white with blue interior!

@@fairfaxcat1312 I see more of these on the road than ford or chevy. and I live in farm country. where trucks are worked to death.

When I was younger I drove a D-100 a 72 with a 318,3 speed sweptline bed long wheel base olive green white top.A real nice truck ,I drove all over Arizona ,nice trouble free, solid. The front end could have been stronger and I hated the sound of the starter I had a chance to buy it and stupidly passed,I am sorry I didn't it was a nice truck.

I think Dodge never changed this body style for about 25 years beginning in 1969 and continuing into the ‘90’s.

You're close - 72 to 93, with a slight change in 81.

@@289Mustang67 21 years and most parts were interchangeable, i wish they made trucks like this now, it would be so much cheaper to buy and repair without sacrificing build quality

Back when trucks were used like a truck. Now you have four doors and a sandbox. Today's young people don't seem to care about bed length.
