Today's walk takes place on Myrtle Avenue - Starting in Bushwick Brooklyn, and later on crossing into Ridgewood Queens where the Myrtle Avenue Street Festival is taking place. The first part of the walk starts at Central Avenue as we make our way under the elevated tracks of the M Train Service Line.
We will eventually reach Wyckoff Avenue and cross into the borough of Queens and enter the Ridgewood neighborhood. The Myrtle Avenue Street Festival is taking place. The festival stretches several blocks, consisting mostly of retail vendors with the occasional food stands. At the end of the festival, there are some classic cars on display, including a checkered cab.
We will then continue on for some bonus walking down 71st Avenue to look at the different types of residential walk up buildings that line the street. We will then circle back onto Myrtle Avenue via Fresh Pond Road and make our way back, taking a look at some of the businesses on that stretch.
Come along for a walk through 2 boroughs ,2 neighborhoods, and a street fair mixed in. Alot is going on for this walk. Commentary throughout. As always, Thanks for taking the walk with me!

Hello sir, thank you for the Myrtle Avenue video. It brings back lots of memories when I was six years years old in 1971 my family and I lived on Myrtle Avenue in one of those angled sliver buildings. It was an old beer tavern my dad rented it out as a storefront department we had on Myrtle Avenue and an entirely different street address at the back door. There was a cemetery across the back road and a Catholic Church I'm wondering if that rings a bell?, perhaps you can tell me what cross street that is. Who knows if that old building or even the cemetery is still there . if you ever pass by, please let me know. I'm desperately trying to see something from my past that tells me I really experienced it. It's been so long. It seems like a dream. I'm now a Texas resident and I have not been there for over 50 years thank you so much, sir have a great week.

Nice change. If you hadn't said you crossed the border of Bklyn. into Queens, I wouldn't have realized you were out of Bklyn. Geography is not my strongest suit. I really enjoyed the fair.
