Yousef Awyan is an expert guide on all things Ancient Egypt, he's traveled the world and visited many other megalithic sites, and is an accomplished musician and practicing stonemason. Yousef has a very practical understanding of the mysteries wrought into the stone at so many of the incredible sites in Egypt, and he is a good friend of mine!
This video is a conversation we recently recorded, and I've set it to much of my raw footage of the sites and objects that we discuss.
Many thanks to Yousef for his time - and I hope you enjoy the podcast!

Unique amongst ancient megalithic sites, the twin locations of Tiahuanaco and Puma Punku, located high on the Altiplano of Bolivia, represent an enduring mystery for the history of human civilizations. The true age of these ruins has always been a controversial topic, and the man responsible for 50 years of primary excavation and research here, Professor Arthur Posnansky, used a multi-disciplinary approach to conclude that they originated more than 10,000 years ago. Unsurprisingly, this date is dismissed by mainstream archaeology -but just how valid is this dismissal? And what is the evidence behind the claims?
Years in the making, this video investigates the claims behind the age of these enigmatic locations, and seeks to understand if Tiahuanaco was, as Posnansky termed it, the 'Cradle of American Man.'

Yousef said it best, an Ancient King from the First Dynasty buried with the finest vessels of the hardest granite, doesn't mean that actually produced them even though his name was carved on the wall. When you think about it those prize possessions are absolutely priceless because nobody around could duplicate them and they were fit for a King...

Thank you two so very much! Ben you alluded to irons in the fire kinda thing in a previous video. I understand discretion and timing. Here they are appearing before my eyes and coming to fruition (Graham, Brien, Randal, Yuosef...). You have bolstered my confidence that you are the generational heir apparent. You are the only one who has enough of the total package (maybe n e x t but he's at a point of recovering instability atm) (from a Western point of view). As I watched and thought about my previous thoughts, I became so pleasantly shocked that you guys ticked off about 20 of my boxes. (IE covering Yuosef's father, John Anthony West, predynastic, our frustrated plea to examine existing obvious evidence etc.). I want to thank Yusef for his continued improvement in English, it is so much easier on me! (I remember ...nm). I will venture his precise use of English vocabulary now exceeds the average Americans by a long shot. [However I am still absolutely PO'd at Doc Schlock - I hope I am somehow in error or at least my feelings are amorilated.] In the bigger picture, which I firmly believe you share. Randall has the right concept but the venue (kosmographia) doesn't look as viable as I was/am envisioning. Thank you so much for proving to me you didn't need my advice. Carry on! Salute! PS Hope to see/hear you on spotify soon drumming up the grass roots, to apply a more excentuated global pressure on the close minded powers that be. Or perhaps a vampiresque costume appearance with Christine McConnell for Halloween? Is Jimmy a descendant of Bert Ward? It's the youthful enthusism (I just can't help kidding Jimmy). Best regards to a truely stellar community. Let's keep us that way. Preaching to the choir, but just a reminder - It's very diffcult to build something worthy, and all too easy to knock it down. (Am I over my 144 characters?)

It is great to hear Yousef about these anomalies, he is a wonderful addition to the things we see of ancient, very ancient Egypt. Humans after all, when confronted a few days with extraordinary facts, except the most impossible facts much easier, as the mind cannot keep itself on high alert much longer. It then steps up, and except the next anomaly like normal! Think about the fact, that ancient Greeks were astonished about the ancient knowledge of the Egyptian history-keepers, how far and deep in time they new about their own beginnings, and downfalls, repeating over and over again! The heritage of the ancient first dynastic people was so great, they kept even the smaller pieces presiously in their graves, they new how it came there, the loss of so many people they cared about..for whatever reason, floods, impacts or particle storms, or all of them together. Comet Encke when appearing in the sky for the first time , some 20.000 years ago, was much bigger then formally believed, and we're did all this material go?? Thanks for the post!

If you mean Zahi Hawass, he hasn't been the director of antiquities for over 10 years. The current director is Khaled El Enany. And I've not heard much about El Enany, good or bad so I'm not sure of his competence or of his willingness to work with researchers with differing ideas than the main stream. Although I'm sure he's just as against them as the rest of the "quackademics". And though many of us that are into the so called "fringe" research don't like Hawass, many of the researchers do/did at least on a personal level. I know John Anthony West would go out to dinners with him and said they got along great personally but when it came to the press or permissions he would throw him right under the bus, deny him and talk all kinds of shit. But I have heard JAW defend him many times.

Excellent podcast thanks Ben. In regards to where the advanced tools are, I believe that the cataclysmic event that occurred ( more than likely the younger dryas boundary event) was so devastating that what wasn’t destroyed was probably recycled for any metals over the following Millenia by the first to discover the ruins. If stone was quarried with copper tools, and if the copper wore at an extreme rate, wouldn't there be at least traces of copper at every quarry used all over the region? Seems like the element would be found everywhere- all over the sites in at least detectable amounts and possible accumulation in areas. Would think there is an enormous amount of trace material everywhere due to the scope of works.

I think the people that hold onto the copper tool thing have stated that the copper was harder (apparently hammered not smelted) than we make it today . I think the coolest idea ( that would solve a lot of the megalithic building mystery )that Ive seen ,was the grass that birds somehow used to eat away rock on a sheer cliff face in S. America . But of course ...the grass is now extinct or cannot be found ? Dunno ,its been awhile .

Hi Ben, First and foremost, Thank you for the great videos and interviews you consistently produce and provide to us all. your videos are definitely the source of my most eagerly anticipated and appreciated KZfaq notifications. I have a question regarding the protrusions found on so many of the megalithic blocks and other stone artifacts from around the world. Has anyone ever proposed the theory that these protrusions could be the last area of the blocks they are found on to be still connected to the mass of bedrock from which they were quarried ? Assuming the fact that the technique used to remove the blocks would require a couple of points left tethered to the bedrock and the majority of the connecting face could then be cut/removed leaving just a couple of small points to be cut to release the cut block? similar to the way they produce plastic model airplanes, where the parts come in a rectangular plastic frame and are connected with small plastic tabs which allow you to snap the parts out of the frame. I am not proposing that the walls were delivered on site in trays of numbered parts lol just trying to convey my poorly worded thought in a way which might help you visualize what I am clumsily asking. please let me know your thoughts on this when you get a chance. Thanks again and kind regards Michael Healey Melbourne Australia

It would be refreshing to hear a dialogue with UnchartedX & Jonlevi there is a wealth of ideas unexplored regarding ancient Ruins / civilisations! Can someone set it up? 😬. 'Please neat post👍

hello ben I have been recently intrigued quite heavily in your work and am slowly watching every video for its entire length, as I urn to know more. I was watching this masterful podcast and at the 44:25 mark you show a picture of the Schist Disc, which you have shown many times across this channel and a thought popped into my head that this may be the cause of the drilling marks that are found throughout the Egyptian landscape or at least some. Honest I have not looked into theories or other speculations as to why or how the disc may have functioned, however I believe that combined with rope or some other leverage system this disc along with man power turning the handles or maybe livestock this disc applied with weights/water or other materials was able to cut into the stone. Now I firmly know this does not explain the whole picture and it still is not an adequate explanation but I thought it was be an interesting point to look at if you are ever near this disc again. Moreover, I love your work and I hope you are doing well throughout the chaos of the world and I hope to accompany you to the Giza Plateau someday, cheers.

Today, typically we build municipal structures out of enduring, quality products and overbuilt to resist damage. e.g. dams, bridges, sewers etc. What is left after severe destruction - unless buried or protected? - the toughest structures.
