I have a question. Those that went back many decades and bought items from stores and restaurants, how they paid for the stuff? I mean, I’m pretty sure if I go back a century, walked into a coffee shop and ordered a cup of coffee. The currency I would use to pay for it would be foreign to whom is serving me.

This kind of thing happened to my sister and couple of her friends a couple summers back. It's too long of story to explain the whole thing on here, so I'll just give the cliff notes. Basically they came across a strange town in the middle of nowhere when they were traveling late at night and when they decided to go back through to see if they had missed the road they were needing to take, the town had vanished completely. My sister also said that when they drove through the first time they were really creeped out because everyone in the small town were standing in their porches staring at them as the drove through. My sister is still so freaked out by whatever happened that night that she refuses to talk about anymore. I don't usually by into these things, but I know my sister and she wouldn't lie about this.

Interesting that none of these seem to describe a sudden weather change. An easy way to tell if you experienced time travel would be a sudden change in the position of the clouds, sun/moon, or even if it started or stopped raining in an instant.

You should have come to me. I managed to time travel myself. One time, I went forward a whole TWO MINUTES - and it only took me 120 seconds to get there!

Now imagine you just finished your 12 hour work day and - BAM! You are back at your your desk and its 7 am! Wouldn't that be awesome!

I've seen time pause before while in highschool. I was in biology my favorite class and suddenly the class froze and I began to panic, I stood up walked over to the clock and tap'd on it 3 time's said "okay I'm freaked out now" then went to my desk by the window and looked out then I heard my teacher asking me why I was standing and I just said "I just had a panic attack, may I go for a walk around the floor once?" And my teacher allowed it.

I so wish I could time travel back to the eighties just to see and get a hug from my mom and my brother who are both not alive anymore and also see my uncle and aunt to who are not alive anymore either and some of my friends to who are not alive either to and an ex to. This is one good reason I’d like to go back in time to see everyone I lost. I’d only do it if I could have a safe trip their and back because I have a child now. It would be nice if I could do that but it’s only a fantasy time travel for me.

That's crazy about the ghost thing.. one time about 2 years after my dad died, I saw him while I was walking up to the corner store, only he wasn't 47 years old like he was when he died, he was in his 20s. It was extremely bizarre and I was terrified. I wonder if that is a thing..

the question is, does time-travel create another timeline or does it create a time-loop like it's commonly portrayed in pop-culture?

I quite like the theory that ghosts are regular people from an overlapping timeline. Interesting to think that you would appear as a ghost to those that you encounter

When I was a cab driver I had driven a disheveled man a few times. He swore he was from the year 2079 and a malfunction in his temporal regulator sent him back to 1979 and stranded him there. According to him we, humanity, will not discover the element needed for time travel until June 13th 2056. He rode with me a few times, paid cash, no ID, and then one day just stopped. Never saw him again, which is unusual in a small town like this.

Time atcs weirdly in maths and physics classes they are very slow i mean very slow.....

My aunt had an experience like this that she couldn’t explain. She was working at this old historic library when she just happened to glance out the window. She tells me she was surprised to see the road outside had turned to dirt. All the people outside were walking around in old timey clothing and there was a horse-drawn carriage waiting by the door. It was as if she were seeing through the eyes of a ghost. With a blink of her eye though, everything went back to normal. She’s told me about this experience many times and her story never wavers so I don’t think she’s making it up.

I had a journal for some time but never remembered writing in it. That last two entries read: Day 41: “Finally! My time reversing machine has been complete!” Day 39: “I might have a problem here…”

The thing is if they did go back in time to change something and they succeeded they wouldn’t ever have to go back in time bc the past was already changed meaning the future was different so he wouldn’t have to go back in time. But if they didn’t go back in time the past and future would be the same meaning they would have to go back in time to change it etc.
