MYSTERY BOXES from CRAZY TOWN in the locker I bought at the abandoned storage auction

This is part 2 of what I'm calling the "Twilight in Hayward" locker. I bought this locker for $525 at the auction, because I had a gut feeling about it. That's more than I usually like to spend, unless I have a reason to go that high.
On this part of the clean out, I find some really crazy mystery boxes that you just have to see to believe. And we start to dig into some jewelry and other good stuff too.

Yes, Leatherman is the best; so much so that a lot of people call all multi-tools by that name. I carry a Leatherman in my purse. It came in handy at work one day. It was lunch time and I went to open a can of soup, but it only opened a little before the the ring broke off. I pulled out my Leatherman and used the pliers to finish opening the can. One of our trainees was watching me and he said, "Why don't they teach us that? I've never seen anybody make a meal with a pair of pliers before. That's something we can really use."

The Weird box #1 gave me an idea of the method to the madness for some of this locker. All that custom decoration, small vials, jewelry findings and other odd bits suggest a maker to me. I am very familiar with so-called outsider artists, they are always looking for and collecting odd bits, especially broken jewelry and buttons. They reuse it in collages, and other art projects. Look up the Rue Paul junk portrait for one famous example. (putting away my degree in ridiculously weird knowledge now) 😂🐺

The squeezy gold ring is a curtain hook. You can clip it on the top of a piece of fabric and the ring then slides on the rod. You need a bunch of them to hang the curtain.

The decorated boxes could be gifts from her kids when they were little. My kids used to give me things like that for my birthday. So sweet. 😁

Double check the ring at 9:18 as those side prongs are for sizing the ring, a lot of people will add that to rings because their finger size may fluctuate due to weight losses and gains.

The glass bud vase had been 1/2 filled with glue or silicone and had a rose or two put in it. (Valentine's Day, I received one from a guy who road the handicapped bus to our church. I caught a co-worker carefully watering hers, and commenting on how well the rose was lasting!!)

Please don’t feel like the thing inside the ring makes it look fake it is a ring guard to keep your ring on it was too big my fingers swell sometimes and if you loose weight your fingers shrink it almost looked like a old mother’s ring that is the way a real watch looks I’m happy for you thank you for sharing hi Janna 😊🙋‍♀️

Check that ring again at around 9:30. That's a ring guard. My mom has one in her wedding ring diamond because the ring would slip off on her in the winter. Just because that's there isn't always a bad thing. She didn't want to lose the ring when her hands were cold in the winter, but didn't want to resize it because it would be tight in the summer.

Nice Video Jack! 🥰. FYI The bowl @14:03 is a Le Creuset piece they are expensive from Macy’s you might check t9 see if there’s a wooden lid for it. I couldn’t see exactly what piece it was but I know it’s that brand. GL with the next part😀🥰

Yes, the Kennedy halves are silver (40%) from 1965-1969 and SOME 1970. The 1964 is 90% silver. Also, MOST S mint marked halves are silver...even if they have the copper edge.

40% for Kennedy halves made from 65-70 and everything else 64 and pre 64 is 90 some proof coins are also silver so your best bet is to look at the rim if the rims got no copper showing it’s most likely silver 40%ers are definitely keeper coins brother!

Coins with silver in them sound different when they clink against another coin. I'm not sure of the years and percentages of silver in certain coins but I could tell just from the sound of those coins they contained silver. Experiment with coins with no silver against coins with silver and you'll learn the sound.

Morgan dollars, Peace dollars, Walking Liberties, Mercury dimes, 1964 and earlier quarters & dimes are 90%. Some war nickels 1942-1945 are 35% silver.... Others vary.

Spring Christine You’re off by a year. 40% half dollars were minted between 1965-1970 and actually, a 1970 half dollar is a very difficult coin to find because they were a low mintage coin.

I have already suggested a couple of coin books that can help them along in their hunts for treasure with all necessary information. I am on serious meds and not completely with it to put ALL pertinent information on every thread.

1964 halves are 90 percent silver and 65 thru 69 are 40 percent silver. Their value 50 cents to 3 dollars. That two dollar bill is from 1935 and should have some good value

67,68 half dollars I do know is 40% silver I know 64 and below is 90% silver, not sure about 65 I think its 90% but not sure

Hey my 14K wedding ring has a sizer in it because I lost a lot of weight due to an extended illness but don’t want to have it re-sized because I hope to gain some of it back. So don’t jump to conclusions when you find sizers my friend

I find it very strange that your channel isn't flying up in subs.....Ok, in the last month or so you've gone up 7k subs, but I personally think it should be going up faster. I watch a lot of storage locker channels and your channel is the best of them all. You are doing good Jack, keep doing what you do, try and get your wife to help you when she has the time as a lot of women watch these storage videos and they like to hear a woman;s point of view, plus she stops you from counting to 3 when opening things, that annoys me bad, I had to unsuib from What The Hale$ because of that.

The half dollar coins were 40% silver from 1965-1969. Prior to that 90% silver.
