I am hoping Alex Morgan's time on the National team is done. She has been awesome for the USWNT, an icon no doubt, but legacy shouldn't be thee determining factor Ito a player being selected anymore, she is in the last stages of her career now, & she is mostly ineffective. We need strikers who can score. Next generation lez go!

Sad to see it end this way. But expected, she was at the world cup and it didn't go well. Sauerbrunn got it worse. At least some of the 2019rs are back: Davidson, Dahlkemper, soon Mal Swanson etc.

I didn't notice the Rachel Daly incident when I was watching the game. Having seen it, I can understand Bristol City's anger and frustration that she was not shown a red card, so Daly's three match suspension is justified, but it's another major setback in a difficult season for Aston Villa. Daly, McCabe, and James sometimes find it hard to control their tempers, but they're not "arrogant and mean" (as someone on this thread has called Daly), they're just passionate players. And the racist abuse of Lauren James on social media is disgraceful.

Hello Sarah and Sara. I watched the Sam Mewis video with Lucy Bronze and missed the start of the Ruesha video, on twin Shebahn's channel. I caught up to live on x2 speed, but their accent makes it harder to follow. As for Rachel Daly, she is from Yorkshire. I commented about an incident, after the World Cup final, that you would not mess with the English women. I checked that US roster on another channel. I commented before that I reckon the Olympics will be the start of the preparation for the World Cup in Emma Hayes' thinking. It is not just that the British do not see it as a big football trophy, but that the US team seems to need a reboot (fitted specially for women).

On reflection, the Lucy Quinn & Twins' exchanges (aka "bants") really need to be appreciated in context ~ potentially the Atlantic, regional accents differences and/or sense of humour 'issues' are going to get in the way.

Some pitches can't deal with too much water as they don't have a drainage or a a heating system. In Gernany a men's cup match had to be postponed for the same reason. There are quite a few cases when a misconduct isn't seen by a referee and the suspention follows later. Rachel Daly should have received a red card if the referee would have seen it, but it's not automatical that a team with a player down has to lose a match. The problem is also that a suspention of 3 matches (due to the regulation) for women in a 22 match season is a higher punishment than with men in a 38 match season. The USWNT roster is very interesting because it looks like Emma Hayes wants to try out new players for the upcoming Olympic Games. It will be interesting to see what, if any, players will make it to the Paris squad.

theres no racist comment on lj after her stomping case, it's only said to cover up her bad behaviour, obv everyone just going to read a sourceless article that quote him/quote her without actual research, i've read through the comments on chelsea & lj ig before the 'racist' cover up is up, and everyone only had been talking about her continuous bad behaviour on the opp players. 🙄

harsh ban on violent behavior without VAR, didn't see that with James (x2) happen... does Chelsea have privs? Age can never be an excusse... if you're old enough to play at top WSL team... you're old enough to behave on the pitch

laurens incidents were worse , not like lashing out in a moment of anger , no standing on people (seems to be her favorite ) after an event means shes had time to think , yah ill stamp on the bee ach ..i shouldnt have watched it again😶

No conspiracy the rain has been a nightmare here in Ireland Ireland we have just had heavy rain after heavy rain for the last few weeks and remember their pitch would not be of the level of the Championship pitches

Agreed . North of France has been getting submersed as well, and its not over yet. Looking for scapegoats is a way of denying the reality. Sometimes it's just too expensive to dry the pitch, so just forewarn and reschedule. Glad they just don't let it go on and try to market it as a mudfight 😂

I have to say it…Lauren James is hard to love (unless you’re a Chelsea fan). Rachel is older, yeah, but she’s not snide like LJ. James is NOT a baby, fgs! She has a nasty, petulant, coldly arrogant streak. I honestly wonder if England fans will ever like her? She’s going to be a WORLD CLASS player so maybe we’ll learn to love her 🤷‍♀️ Ps. Your US young team is looking exciting!!! 👏👏👏
