In this video, I dive into the process of illustrating the High Priestess Tarot card. I've always been drawn to old stories and mysticism, and this project gave me a deeper look into ancient history. I transformed a basic design into a detailed Egyptian queen, discussing the techniques used for painting her dark skin. Learn about the layering methods, the value of using simple shapes, and the challenges I faced. I also touch on the connection between ancient Egyptian tales and fortune telling.

Wow!!! Dear Lioba, you just got a new subscriber!. This tpe of art is above the regular stuff we usually see , besides been artistically beautiful it´s also acurate and realistic in an historical way. You use the right references to enrich this piece, I´d call this an antropologicla or archelogical type illustration more than a simple painting, and yet -like I said- artistically beautiful, the watercolor and pencil tecniques so well done! In a time where digital art and AI creations are developing without control, I thank God there are still real artist around!

Just remember this Kemet is Nubian origin . Second Nubians isn’t the only black civilization that exists in ancient Egypt 😂😂
