A few things I need to clarify. There was some contradictory info on the DDO.com website but it was clarified today by SSG that yes you can upgrade expansions for the price difference later if you want. Also, I accidently overlooked the ultimate fan bundle exclusive chaosmancer cosmetic outfit! I uploaded a video here where you can see it. Note that it's not given out by the NPC vendor, it's autogranted when creating a Chaosmancer Iconic. These are bound to character and require you to be Chaosmancer race to use: x.com/AxelAlexK/status/1801377606614622223

I hate the way SSG monetize bank inventory issues instead of an actual fix. Its ridiculous and its a reason why i stoped buying expansions with money and turned off VIP. Theres many other reasons why to be angry at SSG, but this monetization of bank space is just malicious practice.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the new chaos iconic, cause I saw people shit on the new archetype. What little I tried using its default level 15 gear, it may not be a high reaper class (or maybe it is, I dont run high reaper), but it definitely did well on elite and R1; as a fresh no past life or set gear character.

I just preordered the Ultimate. Why? because Id rather just have everything, $130 isnt that much and this is my most expensive hobby so actually...spending $130 saves me a lot of money elsewhere as Im not in the club buying overpriced drinks and stuff. I really wanted the level cap raised today but guess we'll be waiting until next month.

Same! $130 is so reasonable for all you get and I’ve never regretted an ultimate bundle. I only regret never getting to upgrade Ravenloft! I really wish they would offer that so the folks who started during covid could get all the goodies…sigh…

@@r8chlletters Unfortunately for normal people $130 is not reasonable. You got 2 character slots, cool - dont need them, all of the cosmetics looked really mid - I know its an old game but I wouldn't pay more than 3 dollars for them, account bank is nice - character bank on 1 character is bleh, +3 tome not stacking with other tomes feels kinda bad, hirelings seem neat but not $130 dollars neat, and of course the race, archetype, and iconic, which should be bundled for 10-15 dollars. Honestly 40 dollars for the area itself is bonkers. The game is already struggling for players and me trying to convince someone to come play when they need to dish out so much money for zones pushes them right away.

My racial completionist is still a racial completionist. An idea when I will need to do three Eladrin race lives to maintain my racial completionist status?

If the feat was not removed today I'd expect it to be removed very soon in a patch until you've done your eladrin lives to reacquire. Personally I have not seen anything from SSG about it.

And still no steam purchase option... they are just losing so much money, is just impossible to buy it outside dolar/euro based countries, the convertion rate for all central/south america make it more expensive than the minimum wage

I'm going to have to go for the Ultimate Bundle... I really like the hirelings, the racial tomes, the bank slots and the trinket. The new mounts (including the carpet) and the cosmetics are nice but in themselves would not have been enough to convince me to shell out more money. I think the hireling folder is nice as well...I have one already on my main but would be nice to have on an alt as well! When it comes to hirelings though... I wish they would add more in and cover more levels!

There's just 1 thing in this video that I absolutely despise, 130$ for a +3 Racial Tome?? SSG is locking a big power boost to your characters behind a paywall, it turns DDO into a pay to win game which is absolutely disgusting 🤬

It’s for a quest expansion…and a whole lot more for a pretty reasonable price. I save up when I know expansions are planned and it makes it easy to afford. Remember you can buy AP tomes in the store if you want to.

It's some amount of pay to win but it's a very minor amount of power. You can get up to I think now 15 extra racial points through racial reincarnation and +1 racial tomes (and I think 1-2 upgrades?) drop rarely in raids. You can also buy them in the DDO store for points, which you can grind out by just playing the game to get points and the +3s will be available there in 6 months.

@@AxelAlexK You can get up to 15 extra RP with 45!!! lives. That's an insane amount of grind, as are 9 lives which correspond to those 3 points we're being sold. 130$ is already an outrageous amount for a collector's edition, but as long as it's cosmetic goodies, it's fine. But 3 racial AP? No, we've crossed the line.

@8Smoker8 I don't really like money for power either but there really isn't a competitive aspect to the game (pvp). I could be wrong as i am still reletively new. If i am disreguard statement. I'd only use this on an alt not my main as part of the fun for me is earning my exp and points through drops and what not but agree it's kinda scummy.

so you get a lvl 34 hireling but you actual character cannot go up from 32 to 34 ?? how weird

You actually can summon the legendary hireling right now. She's currently typed as 32, even though she's clearly been marketed and has a description in game of being level 34. They might bump her up 2 levels after the level cap increase, makes sense to keep her 32 until then so people can use her.
