@@kahinamatata oh my gosh i got made fun of by so many black people for not having good hair. I’m biracial, so when this goes in my hair they’ll still come at me with the comments. they’re gonna be trying to me too 😂. We’ll have to let them know.

Yes to hearing all of these lies! And also: 6. "You *HAVE* to use [gel/wax/coconut oil/setting lotion/etc] when starting your locs." 7. "You *HAVE* to retwist your locs EVERY SIX TO EIGHT WEEKS." Too many people act like the way they did is the *ONLY* way to do it. 🙄

Yes!!! In all these years of life, I have learned that there is typically not ever just *one* way of doing things! We have options. The myths you’re bringing up are great points too!! 6. Me right here a living example of that lol. 7. It allll depends on hair type and growth (and preference)! One size never truly fits all.

THE COCONUT OIL IS A TOTAL LIE. it is an unsaturated fat. it’s good for skin but it’s so thick and it dries the hair out.
