This is a pure Bengali traditional recipe, prepared frequently by our ancestors like mothers, grandmothers or even before them. It is time-tested recipe.....Friends, believe me, it tastes simple awesome. Kochu Shak can be prepared in both ways......veg and non-veg (like with Prawn or with head of Hilsa Fish). Here I have prepared it in the vegetarian way.....with coconut . It is a must on the holy day of ARANDHAN in most of the Bengali family,which is celebrated on the last day of 'Vadra' month. So why late?.......prepare it and enjoy with steamed rice and musur dal.
