When my house was being built, a neighbor called me late one night and told me there were some 4-wheelers riding around on the property. The property was 10 acres and totally fenced in with one gate entrance and posted signs on the gate, and surrounding the property. I went over to the property and I could hear the 4-wheelers on the back side. I closed the gate and put another lock on it since the lock I had on it was gone. I went and stood behind a tree with my .12 ga. shotgun and waited for them to come out. When they got to the gate, I stepped out and thanked them for leaving me, not one, but four 4-wheelers. The culprits were all in their teens and one worked for the contractor that was building the house. That is how he ended up with a key to the property. I made them walk home and told them that they could get their 4-wheelers back when their parents came to claim them. I spoke with the contractor and I don't know if he fired the young man, but I told him that the young man was not to be allowed to come back to my property. All the parents did come to get the 4-wheelers and none were very happy about the situation, but it was not me they were unhappy with. It was their kids. I later found out that two of the parents sold their son's 4-wheelers because of it.

I have 900 acres in the desert in San Diego most of which are mountains. We have a maintenance road that leads up to our spring. We have a gate and rocks like you. People think they have the right to go up our hill and go around the gate as they please. Never would I tread on private land. I’ve caught people coming up when I’m coming down. They have to back down the road that needs 4 wheel low to come up. Pretty entertaining. Great video. I’m not alone.

Just press charges on every single identifiable person. Take photos of those you can't identify by license plate, etc. Put those photos on wanted posters and put them on every cork board in town, $50 reward. They'll get wind of it pretty soon.

Unacceptable behavior. The entitlement from these people that they think it's ok to trespass on someone's property is incredible.

Post this to social media in your town. That might help get the word out to stay out because someone lives there now.

Need to put up a sign that I personally have. NO TRESPASSING . IF VIOLATED YOU WILL BE SHOT, SURVIVORS WILL BE SHOT AGAIN.

You need a camera where you can talk to them. Warn them that you're watching and the police will be called if they trespass. They probably won't care as it's clear they have no respect for anyone's property.

You should put down a home made spike strips at the other side and a No trespassing sign 4 flat tires will send a loud message

An old garden hose loaded with framing nails at all angles would help. Get some 12 gauge trip wires from Fith Ops.

Did ANY of those people have a legit right to pass the Gate? (the contractor?). Otherwise, it's time for some creative planting of barrier trees with big assed THORNS on them, combined with some new gates. My brother and I when we were younger would go tooling around the "back woods" at times, but EVERY TIME we came across a fence or a gate we simply respected that and didn't intrude. Or, maybe get a small pack of 4 to 6 Dobermans trained to check the gates. :D

I saw in the comments you said the gate had a lock? How then do all these people have a key/combo to it? Most of the people who passed, passed through an open gate... not fully understanding the issue here.
