Don't put an auto locker in the rear as it's your main drive, so it will auto lock all the time.... Get ready to blow your rear diff and everything inside, Go for front auto loker only so when you u have 4x4 the front will activate. Rear Loker should be an E locker.

Awesome vid champion. Have bought (not yet installed) a front lokka. Am interested to know how the rear lokka feels. I’m thinking e-lokka for the rear. Not sure how I feel hearing the grind in the rear diff for general purpose use.

Ran a Spartan auto locker for 3 years, you have to change your driving style but if you don't power down round corners they should disengage pretty well. So good off road

No mate, i don’t drive in 4WD on the road, that would destroy your diffs and drivetrain. It’s like that because the rear lokka is constantly engaged as it’s an auto lokka

Hey mate, nah my car is the SR model so they come with back Mirrors. Just order a set of SR mirrors and they’ll come black

The hill was almost boringly easy with the lokkas, I got an N70, just ordered a front auto lokka, Ol mate at 4wd systems recommended auto in the front and manual in the back. When you’re in 2wd the front diff isn’t turning so no clicking or grabby steering at all. It’s probably the lokka in the back that’s making it drive weird on the hard stuff. Once you’re feeling it in 4wd the front auto lokka will help look after the CVs and diff by being able to unlock the front on the go around corners. I will be finding all this out for myself once I’ve got mine in, I’ll keep the LSD in the back for now. I think you’ll be wasting a big handful of cash if you put a manual locker in the front..

Yeah mate that was the point, to show the difference between unlocked and the auto lokkas. I never said anything about the front clicking or grabbing the wheel, it’s always been the back that’s been the issue as it’s always locked, so going around corners it grabs and jolts the car or bunny hops around corners. I’ve had these lokkas for almost 2 years and the front has been fine, the rear is a fucking pain. They’re both getting ripped out for twin air lokkas, if I was you I’d spend the extra cash and get the better lokkas to start with.

@@freethemanmedia6042 cheers mate, watched your Cape trip, got all sorts of blood flowing, gave a different perspective of a Cape trip compared to commercially produced videos… are you doing anymore trips and videos across the top end?

Hi mate how do you find them in the rear as normal driving Sum said they can lock whilst cornering

Hey mate, honestly a bit frustrating on road. It’s not they lock whilst cornering, they’re always locked and unlock while turning, but yes when you go around corners it hops because it’s unlocking and locking back in. Easiest way is to use your clutch around corners or accelerate around them

How long did it take for them to arrive? I ordered mine for the same Hilux in Feb this year and still haven't got the product or any email.

Was about 3 months for mine to arrive including the original 6 week wait. This was last year though when 4wd24/7 first advertised them. Was told they had to retool the shop because of so many orders.

@@freethemanmedia6042 I did. They were straight up with me. Told me exactly why. These days it customers would (pending on incoming orders) get them on time. This is a straight up no BS Aussie business. If I wanted another lokka, this is where I’d be going.
