So Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.42 is here!
The first content update for Gran Turismo 7 in 2024 Update 1.42 brings 3 new cars, a new menu book, 2 extra menu books and more to GT7.
In this video I'll be taking you through my 800p money build and method using the surprisingly good Genesis X VGT which is a FREE reward for most long term GT7 players using it for very fast money in Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.42.

Great video. I personally prefer the Group C Le Mans cars like the Jaguar XJR-9, 787B, and R92CP for this race. Even the Group 2 cars like the Mercedes CLK-GTR and BMW McLaren F1 GTR are great alternatives. All of these cars can run on fuel map 6 on racing hard tires and you can use automatic transmission option if preferred. You will need to do one pit stop around lap 10 or 11, but because these cars are quick even on fuel map 6, usually you will lap nearly the whole field towards the end of the event. Cool to see that the Genesis is competitive for Sardegna.

The manual thing. Thats exactly why i hate the tesla races. I hate not having to shift. During the race ill shift by accident about 15 times by the end of a 5 lap race lol. I dont even like driving auto irl.

Better way is Nissan r92cp92 same track, stick it in auto transmission, lean6 so no pit stop and 750k every 27mins with clean race.

Exactly, when i do the Tesla races. I always press my down shift button which is O in this case even though it does nothing because it’s a electric car blah blah. It’s muscle memory at this point for me

I've personally been using a Honda NSX Concept for this track, and no tyre wears. Fuel map to 6 and refuel near the end. Easy to handle as well. I do change MFP to 1 after pit stop.

The R92CP can lap at 1:27 on one stop. Total time is under 24 minutes. This car is slower.

I do this with a Aston Martin Valkyrie that got on some lottery, on 6th engine map (most fuel saver) you can do 9-10 laps and you don't need to change tires. You should finish more than 30 secs away from second car.

1.34 lap is pretty impressive given the apparent lack of any aero on the car.

It is already very easy to cheese the Sardegna race with a bunch of cars. I personally would prefer to use the Lexus VGT, even if it bothers me to no end that is has no interior cam. But for grinding, it is borderline OP for the race

Just wanted to say thank you very much for an excellent money earning race. I'm not new to racing games but I am to tyre and fuelling strategy. I've used this method to help me towards the Legendary cars trophy. This method is the first one I've tried that actually fully works. Please suggest others of yours.

Love this car. Fuel efficient as f, fast as f, just have to get the breaking timing correct and it's VERY rewarding

I just came back to the game after a few years and out of all the money making methods I watched the past 3 days this is the only one that worked, thanks bro. I completed with Automatic transmission too, won by nearly 2 mins lol

By my calculations, I'm making about 1000cr more than this per minute, with an Honda S660. No swap. 11 laps at Daytona (vs.nerfed Tomahawks) takes 9 minutes or so, and clean race pays 273,300cr. Way easier, and more likely to pull off a clean race

I LOVE THIS TRACK. I DO IT EVERY MORNING. but its not the lowest paying event. I always get the clean race bonus. so that's over 700,200$ for a 25 min. race. maybe even faster. for the time and payout, I feel it's the best event. I only have 1 hand, I can't do manual trans. BUT I never really have any issues. rear wheel drive cars might be a little annoying. but not too bad overall. I NEVER noticed the diamond until now. I also fill to full as well.

This is hands down the best way to earn credits fast. Not a fan of this car for much of anything else though. I've done it 5 times now. And I swear I've banged into some of tyne other cars and hit a few walls off the track, and still got the clean race bonus every time. As far as the setup, I didn't like moving the ballast towards the front. I left it balanced, but just added more weight to meet the PP requirements. After using the gears to slow down, it's smart to bump out back up to 4th or 5th gear before accelerating. Works great.

I use the electric Audi vgt car for this, I finish like 27 seconds ahead lol, average 1.40-41s per lap. Two pits but I’m so ahead it doesn’t matter. The car sticks hard around turns Edit: after using this car, I finish in 25.30ish min with 1:36 lap times. With like a 1:10 plus gap lol

Gr1 tomahawk don't have to pit till lap10 then fuel mix 1 from that point on till the end and with about 1min to second place

The A.I. rubberbanding is absolutely wild in the hard difficulty. I’m running 200-230 mph down the straights and I still don’t have a fastest lap because some dude in the Lexus ran a lap 2.5 seconds faster. Like I ran a 1:34 and I look up with 1 lap left and I see FASTEST LAP I.FRAGA 1:31.543

Great video as always. interesting insights into the car. sadly manual transmission with a controller isnt an option for me. I cannot work the transmission, the throttle and hold the controller all at once.

Agreed. It’s too much. I’ve tried many times and it’s unnatural to use that many buttons on a controller

Manual transmission on controller is as simple as pressing X and Square to up shift and down shift is it not?

Then, play with your setting and find the best layout, not that hard. That's what I did, and it made it so much easier

I like doing this race with the Mercedes CLK LM you have to only pit once and you allways get the clean race bonus Its just so easy with the mercedes for me
