Sobrang tagal pa para magkaroon tayo ng high speed rails dito sa Pilipinas. Hopefully mauna marelocate ang mga nakatira sa mga gilid ng riles. Kahit 100kph na speed hnd maaabot sa gnitong situation dahil delikado. Hopefully someday...

Everytime I saw houses beside the track, I remember also the HOME ALONG DA RILES sitcom of Comedy King Dolphy (Tuwing nakakakita ako ng mga bahay sa gilid ng riles, naaalala ko iyung sitcom ni Dolphy na HOME ALONG DA RILES)

my Father was a locomotive driver during 1960 and 1970's sliding is not a problem because it has the automatic sand feeder sa railway I experience those this when I was young age.

Finally I could do it. The technical turn in Legazpi is now online. Sorry for the delay. I encountered software problems. MS Windows Movie Maker did not work on my Win10 computer. And on my other Win7 computer, Movie Maker crashed all the time. Got some gray hair ... And now, go for it.

This will be replace of the upcoming PNR Bicol Express project with Length of 683 km. New trains and new tracks

Do you believe in this announcement of DOTr? The announced Mindanao Rail System from 2016 does not yet exist. The announced Bullet Trains all over Mindanao are still limited to a one rail link between Tagum and Davao Cities. The trains are pulled by slow diesel-electric engines. The construction of the North-Mindanao line between Surigao and Iligan has not yet started. The new PNR-Bicol line seems to be financed by the Chinese state. This would initially be a chance for the Philippines - until they cannot pay back as many other countries couldn't do. Then the Chinese take over. I very much would like to see again a working Bicol Express. But sorry, I do not see it.

@ Do you believe in this announcement of DOTr? -Depends on the project, a big project like this NO unless they start the construction. Right now they haven't started it yet but the ROW acquisition has already started since 2019. -and construction of package1 of this project will start in Q1. let's see if it is true. as DOTr notorious for hyping projects and overestimating the timelines. The announced Mindanao Rail System from 2016 does not yet exist. -The announcement is just a proposed project back in 2016. Right now they are in process of ROW. But don't expect much about that project as it is slow and have no clear of whos going to fund the project The announced Bullet Trains all over Mindanao are still limited to a one rail link between Tagum and Davao Cities. -I haven't heard of that bullet train, must be a hearsay This would initially be a chance for the Philippines - until they cannot payback -IMO Philippines can pay its debt(this project). and the Philippines has a good credit rating compared to other countries whose project has been taken over by the Chinese I very much would like to see again a working Bicol Express. But sorry, I do not see it. -Who doesn't? A project like these takes time. There is so much potential for PNR to really make a flagship service. Modern en-suite sleeper-berth rolling stock with auto-rail trailers on the Manila-Legaspi run would be one of the great Asian railway journeys - run it as a sleeper one way for a luxury experience, and daylight service on the return leg for sightseeing. Run a separate economy service for public benefit, and later on re-open the Batangas branch line - it would get a huge amount of both freight and passenger traffic from the port.

Noong 2006, dalawang beses nasuspinde ang biyahe ng Tren mula Maynila hanggang Bicol, unang nasuspinde noong manalasa ang Bagyong MILENYO (Typhoon Xangsane) noong Setyembre 2006, ang ikalawang beses naman ay noong manalasa ang Super Typhoon REMING (Typhoon DURIAN) noong masira ng REMING ang tulay sa may Travesia sa Guinobatan Albay (In 2006, the Manila-Bicol Train route was suspended twice, the first suspension was in September of 2006 when the Typhoon Xangsane (MILENYO) battered Bicol Region & the second suspension was in November-December of 2006 when the Typhoon Durian (REMING) destroyed the bridge in Travesia Area in Guinobatan Albay

No, unfortunately not. But you can use the "skates" on the same tracks. PNR plans a completely new track. Next year maybe ...

Omg! Bound for accident to happen, it's to dark not enough lighting. Also, the train inside The cockpit is dirty. It's looks like is not safe. The train need new paint. They need to clean them up to be able to showcase them. Come on Philippines! Bicol express should look like orient express. Clean up the rails and put guard fences on it for safety.

The locomotive will be about 2 decades of age, it isn't unusual for it to have wearing and tearing cab interior.

Anong klaseng track o riles yan napakapanganib at walang safe measures. Grabe talaga ang management ng gobyerno naten. Pinaka importatnte sa transportation ang train sa mabilisang byahe.

Merong safe measures actually. Kung wala, di yan makakatakbo ang tren na yan. Ang safety measures nila ay: •Blow the horn at nearby areas where people are present. •Blow the horn to warn anyone beyond a kilometre or two away from the train. •Slow down at weak portions of the tracks. (Bridges most especially) •Must not go beyond 60km/h for a long period.

There are three reasons that speak for the train: 1) Trains are much faster on a good track 2) Trains can transport much bigger masses 3)Trains for passengers are much more comfortable
