Get ready for a long one! This video is a full tour of my nail desk and products. I have built my collection over time and definitely did not start out with this much stuff, you definitely don't need this much to get started but I'm a sucker for nail products and have added things gradually over the years.

It's TONS of fun to see another tech's work area and goodies! I'm new to using LE.. actually because of you. I try to find videos of other Gel Nail Techs using it to pick up tips and tricks from but have a hard time doing so. I would LOVE to see a run down of LE Hard Gels from you. Like, how to use.. which primers go with what gels for maximum wear and adhesion. How you do fills, new sets, which gels you use for what...and etc. If that makes any sense? Hopefully. I've just recently bought about 5 P+ colors. The way O was taught and learned was to build the nail with acrylic or hard gel and then use the soft gel for polish and decoration use. I hope those gels can be used that way! I'll guess I'll find out tomorrow, haha! Anyways.. loved the video even if it was 40min long. You & Celina are the two I've recently found and obsess over to watch. Where I live, I'm the ONLY nail tech in the city who uses all Gel. Picking up tips from y'all and watching you two work helps so much!

The Nail Polisher - Check out Talia's Nail Tales as well. She's also a gel tech and puts out great videos on a Nail channel and vlogs on a personal one. I just decided to do gel (because of Talia and Celina) as well as acrylic last week and stumbled across Jo's channel and I love it too! She is so kind and helpful!

The Nail Polisher - oh and my initial reason for commenting was to tell you that although LE says that the P+ is made with the same pigments and glitters as the hard gel so is the same thing I have found that you just can't beat their hard gels. I have about 20 of the P+ (I ordered the Winter 2018 collection in P+) and I really wish I had gotten at least the glitters in the hard gel. If you do acrylics you can use LE's Tack as a base coat over your finish filed acrylic nail and then their hard gels will work just fine as a polish. I suggest just making your acrylic nail a little thinner because the hard gel is thicker than polish. Otherwise it's the exact same.

Ikea...always a winner Jo 😁. I'm really kean to try various products and systems while I still have my eyesight haha. Hoping to try these amazing glitter gels . I mind watching Athena Elliot when she was introducing them and they were so vibrant and glittery 😍. Didn't realise they were here in the UK so looking forward to trying them. I've never had to use drills etc so need to check that out too . Feels like starting all over again 😁. Thanks for sharing x

Thanks for the tour, I loved seeing your organizing ideas for the color gels. And you have so much space to work. I was wondering...since you don't use the loose glitter much any more, can you possibly salvage it by mixing it with a clear gel and saving it in a new pot?

I wanted to ask a random questions about the gloves... Are they latex free if they are nitrile? I need to make sure if this for the purpose of a couple of my clients as wey are allergic to latex and I hate the powder ones... I think I've seen black ones on amazon as well by the way xxxx

I always use Nitrile gloves, they are far better for allergies and much stronger too. I wouldn't use anything else x

I'm new to your channel and LE for the most part. I mainly use acrylic and have only taken one LE class before. I'm taking a 2 day class with Celina Ryden next month and am starting to bring hard gels into my services. I was wondering how you became an LE educator, was it the LEU on line and you become one with the bachelors degree? I don't know anyone in my area that offers hard gel and when I was in school (I just graduated) the directors had no idea what I meant when I asked them if they could have someone come in and teach a class. I would love to ultimately be able to offer that. Thank you!

Christina Matzen I was contacted by Light Elegance UK who asked if I would be interested in educating for them as I loved the products. You’d need to contact your distributor about how to become an Educator, if they are looking for one in your area, as things vary greatly between different countries. Hope you enjoyed the Celina boot camp! 👍🏻👍🏻

Loved looking at your space. Wow. I love all your stash. I still haven't bought any light elegance, but I'm so tempted now I have seen your collection. I am a total glitter fan, it would kill me to get rid of any of mine. Please check out my room tour. Xxx

Do you reuse your files?

Thanks for the video! Love all the LE in your salon :) I am curious about something, though. I know the rules are different in every country (and in our case at least, every state). But if I left my files, implements, and wipes out like you do and not in containers with lids to keep the dust out, and an inspector came by, I would probably get shut down. Also, from the brief description you gave of cleaning your files, I don't think that would pass muster here. My solution to the files is I use a new LE Perfect File for every customer, and let them take it home after the service. If I am careful to catch them on sale, the price point is quite reasonable, and I don't need to worry about sanitizing them. Anyhow, my question is this: aside from possibly paranoid Board of Cosmetology rules, what do you feel is sufficient cleaning and sanitation to keep your customers safe? Seriously not a hater, just curious about how you handle sanitation. Maybe that would be a good video?? And I would love to see what your favorite LE colors and glitters are. Also, I really like your seasonal art and color display in the frame - I may have to steal that idea :)

Thanks for watching and for your questions. Here in the UK we do not have to sterilise as we are not going in to the skin, unlike for example a tattooist. Every clients hands are sanitised as soon as they sit at our table, along with our own. If that client has any sign of any infection we would not perform the service on them. We sanitise all of our tools in between clients and all of our files are sprayed with sanitizer after every client, unless on the rare occasion we caught the clients skin, in which case the files would get thrown away. As each clients hands are clean when we start and we sanitise everything in between each person, this for me is sufficient enough, and as I use on average 3-5 different grit files/buffers per service this would work out very expensive (files are not cheap here) and as I’m not going in to the skin the sanitisation is enough to prevent anything being spread (because we do not touch anything that might be a sign of infection without being checked by a GP first, we would then see them once they have the all clear). Hope that helps, and thanks again for watching x

Bonnie W - I thought the same thing about the files! I'm in California and if they came in and saw my implements and files out like that it's $100 fine for each one and every container that isn't labeled in English what it is is another $100 a pop. If I didn't know better I would think the entire operating budget for California comes from money the Board of Cosmetology and Barbering brings in.

I luv everything except the files.... A file per costumer... Should be the policy and a rule in every serious Nail Salon
@JojoWickens

superbondi nails They are fully sanitised in between clients, I buy good quality files for this reason. And clients hand are sanitised at treatment as well. Everyone has their own opinion but to say I’m not a serious nail salon is a bit harsh. Sanitising between clients is usual practice in the UK.

Jo Wickens I know and unfortunately lots of salons do this and it is allowed but i dont understand the why the law states every metal tool should be UV sanitized in a special UV sanitizer after every clien (the process may last 30min) so looking at it from that perspective i find it not Okay to reuse files. I use the Hygenic system by Magnetic and one paper costs about 40cents and does just abou 1 Client... Then u throw it away change it and it is way more professional :) clients often bring up the fact how awesome it is so I guess it also means a lot to them :/

superbondi nails I use barbicide to disinfect my metal tools, and I sanitise my files. This is what we are all taught in training here. I have followed this for the 13 years I’ve been a nail tech and I’ve never had any issues. If anyone has anything contagious I wouldn’t provide a service on them. Every country has different rules but it doesn’t make another country’s rules wrong. We are not going in to the body through the skin so sanitisation is enough. My clients are happy with their service and our standards are far higher than many.
