I agree with you, we need to wake up and stop this day to day politics, if someone loses an election we should come together to make our country better.

Actually, the reason why we got the 2010 constitution is because of leaders who pushed us to be better. The current electoral challenge is to get to a place where we have elections as a proper sovereign state. We need to be in a position to manage servers and quickly access and verify results whenever there are disputes. We have made a lot of progress and this is because of Kenyans who have constantly pushed us to be better.

@@M45N The problem is up to now it was mostly Europeans, Indians and Chinese who were moving to Kenya to invest or retire. Kenyans have been trying to encourage Africans to do so with incentives such as removing visa requirements and softening residency laws because, frankly, we would prefer our fellow Africans. Far less problematic.

@@M45N What you mean is you would never say it "publicly". I moved to Europe for university and saw first hand how abominably Africans are treated all over Europe. Even, I a student who had no intention of immigrating felt some of that discrimination. Only the UK makes a decent effort but even they are not perfect. For the most part, Black people are relegated to the fringes of society.There's nothing wrong in saying we welcome, and would love for Africans to move to Kenya in larger numbers. Although the Kenyan presence in Europe is relatively tiny, I've seen how immigrants from West Africa, North Africa and the Horn of Africa are treated there and it's not good. What's wrong with showing them they have a place where they're welcome in their own continent? But I did not once say that non-Africans are not welcome. I just said we would love more Africans to come.

It's very easy to find a Kenyan who's never travelled who thinks life abroad is better because of the overwhelming propaganda from Western media outlets. What I guarantee you will not find, is Kenyans dying in the Sahara or drowning in the Mediterranean trying to cross to Europe. We're not that desperate. As for Kenyans who've had the opportunity to travel or live abroad, I can tell you the vast majority of us prefer our beautiful country because we know the truth and have experienced first hand that the media is feeding us a lie. I had a small network of Kenyan students when I was studying in France, I'll have you know that all but two of us have happily returned home. One stayed because she married a Frenchman and the other got employed by an IT startup in Estonia, but he's still using his earnings to build his Kenyan dream house. So, respectfully, please don't speak for us and say we all want to move to Europe. That is patently false.

However, they treated black americans, afro europeans and afro latinos like 2nd class citizens but programmed them to hate & despise africans & everything african to make them believe they were in a better situation. @@M45N Not the OP, but me I've only visited Switzerland, Austria,Spain, Germany, the UK, Sweden and Belgium. I've lived in France and Italy and moved back to Nairobi a couple of years ago. Kenya over Europe any day of the week. Sorry to say this, but Europe has plateaued and isn't getting better. Kenya is improving.

I too would love to afford those overpriced villas at the coast. @@M45N Are you in the habit of dodging questions with your own? Okay, I'll bite, just to show good faith: 1) Where do I start? Europeans like to paint Africa as lawless and crime-ridden, but I myself had never encountered crime directly growing up in Kenya until my first night in Europe where I was robbed for the first time in my life when they stole my whole suitcase with everything I had at the Gare du Nord in Paris. As bitter as I was, I didn't hold it against the French because Paris is a big, busy city and crime is to be expected. However, over the years, I experienced first-hand what it's like to be black in Europe ranging from minor hostility and micro aggressions to blatant xenophobia and overt racism. These could be from strangers on the train, to waiters and shopkeepers, to landlords and even civil servants. The problem seemed to be assumptions based on my accent and colour of my skin. I gathered that people would infer that I was a refugee or illegal migrant even though I wasn't. I noticed my white American colleagues, for example, never had the same problem. I was oblivious to the microagressions at first, but a black American friend tuned me to the fact and taught me to notice the ones that were going over my head. I should add that I met many kind, friendly and open-minded people as well, but the bad experiences are hard to ignore. 2). You've explicitly implied to another poster that Kenyans are a corrupt, thieving, untrustworthy, deceitful, unwelcoming people once you settle here, and that lady who posted the video would see a different side once she starts living here, do you deny you that? Did I answer your questions? Now will you answer the specific questions I asked?
