I grew up in Kayole (Matatu #1960) but now live in Atlanta, Georgia (USA). This was a beautiful visual... of course it looks different after 20 yrs from the last time I was there. Love the sidewalks and barricades for pedestrians. Lots of construction projects in the works. Love y’all!

Hii mathree ilitumia Manyanja Road in approaching Kayole. Uzuri wa Kayole ni dereva ako na njia tatu za kuingilia. Manyanja Road, Kangundo Road na Donholm ndio uelekee "Kayole Spine Road"! Finally it would have been good to explain for those who do not know Kayole well that the 1st stage is Masimba, then Soweto, Kioo, Nyando and so forth until where the video came to an end!

What really Kenya has to work on is the water streams in the city and suburbs. Its discusting people throw rubbish in them including human waste, and local MPs and Mayor's continues to collect their salaries joke!!!!!!!

I grew up in kileleshwa, Suguta Rd. Back then Eastlands went only as far as Umoja and Dandora was just coming up.

Unfortunately as the country develops, areas like kayole will become slums and drug dens. Most of the buildings you are seeing now will be demolished within the next twenty years as they have been built without considering immediate future needs

The govt will probably just regulate them, come up with building codes and force some of them to renovate, plaster, paint and reinforce their houses. The only ones that they will demolish are illegal buildings built on public land
