I have a quick chat about the pros and cons of starting on a nakedbike, or roadster as they are sometimes called, as your first motorcycle, with these arguably being the most obvious choice, as the easiest to ride machines available, except perhaps cruisers.
As always though there's some advantages and disadvantages even with a nakedbike, from a slightly cheaper buy-in, easier servicing, lighter weight, upright ergonomics. That's countered by little-to-no wind protection, being harder to keep clean, and more...

I think a naked bike is a good choice for new riders, easier to repair if they get damaged.

Absolutely, especially with the likelihood of early riding drops.

I would say naked bikes are the best beginner bikes, but you would easily damage the tank on the Svartpilnen/Vitpilen. Or am I wrong? You have one, Kris. Would the crash bungs save the tank? My choice is I was buying one would be the Fantic Caballero Scrambler 500 [449cc], simply because I like what it looks like. You are right: you feel the speed on a naked. Nick

I fitted the Oggys as I was worried about damaging the tank in a drop. There was minimal damage on mine with them installed, but I've heard a few other riders say theirs landed on the 'bars and pegs and were similarly undamaged. Although that relies somewhat on the 'bar angle working to your advantage. Main damage was to the exhaust. That Fantic looks awesome! Way more of the proper scrambler vibe.

hello great video. I am considering to but a 401. But I am not sure if this bike would disappear under my 6.0 feet body. It looks good on you. Can you please share your height and weight?

For sure, I'm 180 cm and 75 kg, I think that works out at 5'9ish? These are one of the taller machines in the current form, which helps offset that small bike feel somewhat.

My son is 6 feet tall and 90kg, he says riding my 401 is very comfortable even on longer rides, the seat padding could be a little thicker but apart from that it’s a great little bike.

6', 190lbs here and I fit wonderfully on the 401, not cramped and quite comfortable. Its probably nearing the threshold though, a couple more inches and you could be at weird angles depending on your torso/leg length.

Husky is a joke using a KTM engine and the worlds ugliest fuel tank it has nothing to do with Husky it’s just a parts bin pile of crap

On the one hand, Husqvarna is basically just a KTM sub-brand. On the other, styling is subjective and the uniqueness of the Husqvarna models has fared well in comparison to the KTM look, which also isn't for everyone. My big hope with the new one is a step up in the bodywork quality and minor fixtures.
